Santa’s Fantasea is a seafood and Tribal Cuisine restaurant in Saltlake Sector 1, which does not just allure people by its exteriors and interiors while entering but also makes one feel contented while leaving. I had visited this place to have seafood but ended up savouring their innovative tribal cuisine. The restaurant décor is extremely creative and appealing. While one part emphasizes on a vibrant tribal atmosphere, the other half has a cool effect of the sea. The table arrangements are pretty close to one another, but while savouring the food the surrounding seems to get blur.
We had ordered for:
1. Bansa Pora Mutton: This dish is so creatively prepared where; the marinated mutton cooked in a tandoor is stuffed in a bamboo. The pieces of mutton were soft and juicy; whose spices were triggering our taste buds.
2. Julu Pitha: The bansa Pora Mutton tastes even better when eaten with Juhu Pitha, a thin layer of bread.
3. Jadoh: A Meghalayan Dish, with mutton pieces in red and spicy rice. This is a spicy rice which may not be liked by those who do not prefer too much of spice in their food. Otherwise, we savoured every bit of the rice.
4. Jhupu Pisi’s Mutton delicacy: This was an accompaniment for our Jadoh. Even though the rice was sufficient in itself, we were so overwhelmed with the food’s quality, that we ordered a side dish too. The mutton was prepared very well and was non-spicy.
The quality and quantity of the food will definitely make you visit again and again. I still cannot get over the amazing tastes of all the dishes. Service is prompt too. They even have another branch in Golpark. A very reasonable place to visit.
