We were exhausted after a long day of traveling and didn’t quite know what to expect. Wow! The vista, the welcome, both incredible. The owner greeted us personally and we sat.

The food was not as cheap as we were expecting with the location being in a small village but we accepted the cost and continued. But it was worth it as the quality and quantity of the food was superb. My partner had the lamb which was excellent, I had the cevapi, which was very tasty.

The homemade wine and olive oil was also excellent. A real hidden treasure.

The staff was very kind, but that’s where the positives about this restaurant end. The food is terrible—low quality, heavily overpriced, made with cheap ingredients, and cooked unprofessionally, resulting in an awful taste. For example, they serve the cheapest and unhealthiest white bread from a low-end bakery, instead of the legendary Montenegrin homemade bread that other national cuisine restaurants offer. The fish smelled of sea dirt, and the marinade was made with sunflower oil instead of olive oil. The salad was over-marinated with the cheapest vinegar and unhealthy sunflower oil (I haven't seen anyone use sunflower oil in salads since the wartime over 30 years ago). Olive oil is a culinary basic and a standard for salads everywhere.

The worst part is that this awful food costs about 40% more than at any other restaurant serving national cuisine in Montenegro (e.g., 65 euros for a kilogram of fish, for two medium to small sea bass fish. Fried, you won’t get more than 300-400g of fish for 65 euros).

I also feel that the extreme kindness of their staff was just a show to make up for the awful food. I felt ripped off and disappointed. Avoid this place! It was the worst restaurant food I had in all of Montenegro by far.

If you’re vegetarian and you wish to be insulted this is definitely the best place ever. The owner offered me 2 old and withered apples! The homemade wine is good tho.
