Full-Day Tour to Phi Phi Leh by Longtail Boat...
Reviewed 2 May 2018 via mobile

Overall it was worth of visiting, because I didn’t see monkeys anywhere else, even if they had signs all over the Ko PhiPhi Don “don’t feed monkeys”. If you’re coming out from longtail boat and have food in your hands be prepared that monkeys are rushing into water to grab it from you.

All the beaches on Phi Phi islands are beautiful, however out of all of them, I found Monkey beach have the softest sand. Although it is a small beach, it is very charming where monkeys will come around and say hello. They are curious little animal and they aren’t scared of humans, so beware of your belongings as they are very cheeky and have a tendency to steal your things.

Why we loved it:

The beautiful soft sandy beach
The clear blue sea
Cute monkeys
Why we didn’t love it so much:

No toilets
Instagrammable factor:

The monkeys are very cute, and it is tempting to bribe the monkey with food in order to take that perfect shot, but don’t. Once you feed the monkey their behaviour change and can become violent. As much as it will be great to get that perfect instagrammable shot with the monkeys, please respect them in their own habitat and don’t provoke them in any way. I have see some tourist squirting water at the monkey to get their attention for photos, and the monkey’s do get annoyed and will chase after you if you do.

Instead, I will suggest that you be patient and sit close to them when they seem comfortable and relaxed. You might not get the shot with you and monkey shaking hands but at least you won’t have angry monkeys chasing after you back onto your boat.

It was a very short visit for us. We were in a speed boat. We tried to feed the monkeys from the boat. The animals were very cute, they rely on tourists for food. It is a must for monkeys lovers.

This was part of our boat tour. It was pretty cool because it wasn't crowded. There was only one other boat there. The monkeys were obviously used to humans. The get close enough for photo opts. But they are sneaky. Do not bring anything in a wrapper of plastic bag because they will jack you.
