Location : very good , halfway between beach and town - takes 10 mins to each
Facilities: very good , bowling , pool , table tennis , indoor and outdoor pool ( always sunbeds available even in August )
No beach Towels for entire stay ( reception asked us to wait in room for them but they didn’t arrive )
Public areas very clean and really well designed, calm and relaxing with quality furniture and decor - a lovely place to sit and relax .
Food:
Buffet :good selection for most tastes - not an awful lot of selection for vegetarians but something available every night and at breakfast .
Omelettes are cooked on same grill plate as meat .
Same Utensils are used for both meat and non- meat items both with self service and by catering team.
No fresh juice just sweetened option .
LOTS of fruit options .
Food cooked well , didn’t have to wait too long in food queue - drinks queue could be a bit of a longer wait .
Lovely fresh bread both morning and evening .
Great Salads and plenty of choice - nice chefs salads and combinations .
Good pasta section
Pizza section
Good desserts and nice selection .
We chose to get there early and sit outside- plenty of selection earlier too - it is topped up regularly but once it gets busy people do tend to make a bit of a mess of the original displays.
A lot of parents allow their children to run around , drop food , and disturb other diners so unfortunately the experience isn’t always a relaxing one ( Peppa pig playing at full volume on a phone for a young toddler throughout the entire dinner !)
Although that’s not the fault of the hotel , it’s inconsiderate parents -
But as I say this isn’t a reflection on the hotel maybe they could introduce a headphones only policy for this situation?
I’m a considerate parent and would never allow my children to spoil anyone else’s experience.
The food at the pool was great , and we didnt wait long .
Service was great too
Service :
The customer service team were lovely - only a few exceptions who didn’t smile or look happy on reception but the young lady with blond hair and glasses was particularly friendly - Thankyou .
The gentleman running the bowling was brilliant and patient with everyone despite it being very busy at times
Bar staff at pool and in lounge were great .
Can’t comment on kids club other than there was nothing really organised for older children - but did see face painting and mini disco for the smaller children .
Rooms
Lovely sea views for us , very clean rooms with lots of storage , a mini fridge and kettle .
Comfortable seating on balcony , quality bedding and duvets .
Toiletries provided - not branded but practical.
Safe in room .
Housekeeping will knock early 8pm - and our Do Not Disturb sign went missing , but very lovely team made sure the rooms were very clean and tidy - and always happy to help - Thankyou .
We didn’t suffer from Ants but there were some in other public areas ( people maybe taking food back to the room ? )
All in all very satisfied with our room and view - could be noisy in corridors in the morning but again this is more down to parents who did not care if their children were shouting and running - don’t get me wrong , I love kids and have them myself but I do try and think of others .
Wellness centre
We didn’t really use this facility as it was an extra charge and we were travelling as a family - the indoor pool was free of charge but the saunas and ice bath etc were €25 a day .
So , yes , I would rate it 4 star and most of the service came with a smile - Thankyou , in the main we had a lovely stay , you could improve in certain areas - towel availability , broken lift , animation for older kids or some form of evening entertainment ( other than bowling area ), however we also appreciate that you managed very well in the poor weather and despite one or two exceptions the team were really welcoming and engaging - they work so hard and are often not thanked or appreciated by some guests - which is a real shame.
We would visit again - Thankyou .
