Clean and modern

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 weeks agovia mobile
On arrival, first impressions were good. Check in was quick, efficient and the reception staff were friendly and a porter kindly delivered our cases to our room on the 4th floor.
The room was spacious, modern, very clean and comfortable with a great sea view and came with tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary slippers & dressing gown, safe and a small fridge.
The bed was very comfortable and the pillows, lovely..
The bathroom, again was modern with a fantastic double walk-in shower, which had a rain forest head and regular attachment. I Loved having a comfortable sofa in the room too and large screen tv.
Cleaning staff came early and were very thorough and washed the floors each day.
The only negative with the room was the front door which could benefit from some better form of soundproofing as noisy
excited kids thundering past and shouting down the corridors was annoying at times but that wasn’t the hotels fault.
Loved the chairs on the balcony too. Very comfortable.
The pool area was nice and we never struggled to get a sunbed.
Breakfast was in the dining hall which was always very busy, a bit chaotic and quite noisy.
We was on B&B and booked the tavern restaurant one night. We were the only ones in there! The food was delicious and the service excellent but a shame they don’t advertise this restaurant more or move people away from the main restaurant to here to utilise it more. The rest of our holiday we ate out.
The hotel is in a good location with Zlanti Rat beach to the right of the hotel and the harbour and town to the left. Both about 15 minute walk away.
One thing to bear in mind is the airport transfers which are long and involve 2 coach transfers and a 50 minute ferry ride from Split. All ran smoothly but take approx 2.5 hours. Our return flight was at 11.45 am and pick up time was at 5am. The hotel kindly provided us with a take away breakfast of bread, spreads, fruit and 2 bottles of water. I lovely touch which we wasn’t expecting.

Just returned from a wonderful week stay here. The hotel is located near to Zlatini beach and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Bol is just beautiful.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Reception staff would always smile and greet you as you passed. The hotel is spotless and smartly presented.

Plenty of sun loungers and they have a towel service which you can change daily for no extra charge. The pool bar is reasonably priced and the pool is lovely to swim in. They have daily activities.

What lets the hotel down is the dining hall. It is a nice setting but during peak times can feel like a scrum. Dinner is only 7-9pm with most people coming in the first hour. I think if it was increased by an 1hr it would help. Half board buffet has plenty of choice but they would close one of the stations in the last hour. Not sure if due to food running out or normal. The salad bar is superb but some of the dishes would run out in the first hour so disappointing not to get everything. You have to pay for any drinks and no water is provided. We would bring a small bottle of water in which the staff didn’t seem to mind.

The rooms are spacious and modern. Daily house keeping but only changed towels if placed on floor and made the bed. The bathroom towels were rough which was disappointing for a 4 star.

If planning to visit bear in mind the transfer from Split airport. It is a long trip which involves a ferry crossing. It’s part of the experience of visiting and worth it on arrival when you see Bol. Don’t bring too many heavy items as you have to carry everything up stairs and tug along for the ferry. Our return flight was 11am which meant hotel pick up at 5am for the 6.30am ferry. We requested a breakfast bag which only had four stale slices of bread and spreads with a couple of pieces of fruit. It was disappointing given we had a long journey back home. Some meat slices and cheese would have been better so we could make a sandwich.

Room tip: Breakfast between 7-8 was quietest. After 8.30 you will find long queues for the coffee machine and toaster.

Lovely modernised hotel in great location near beach and town. We booked direct with blue sun and got a good deal with free half board. The premium room was spacious, clean, good air conditioning, well equipped with comfortable beds and bedding. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. We spent time around the pool and on nearby beaches ( where you had to pay for sun beds). We have never been to a hotel where hardly anyone reserves sun beds at the crack of dawn, it made the break so much more relaxing knowing you could arrive at the pool at any time of day and find a sun bed to use. Food exceeded our expectations. On the first couple of nights we ate in the dining room which was well air conditioned, then when the temperature dropped a little we ate on the terrace which was lovely. We had intended to eat in the town on alternate nights, but only ate out once because we were enjoying the hotel food. We booked transfers from Split airport through the hotel and they were efficient. Something to note for older, or less able , travellers like ourselves is if you are on the car ferry you have to carry your cases down two flights of stairs to disembark and there is no one to help. We love Croatia and can recommend Brac , Bol and the Elaphusa to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in good quality surroundings.

Room tip: Consider the length of transfer from Split airport and requirement to carry own cases down ferry stairs.

Excellent tranquille location, hotel surrounded by pine trees providing a beautiful scent, it's a paradise. Lovely staff and comfortable room wit a sea view. Beds super comfortable with high quality bedsheets and pillows.

Fully renovated hotel, and the food is amazing. We had half board included, (breakfast and dinner)

    Highly recommended.

Location : very good , halfway between beach and town - takes 10 mins to each

Facilities: very good , bowling , pool , table tennis , indoor and outdoor pool ( always sunbeds available even in August )
No beach Towels for entire stay ( reception asked us to wait in room for them but they didn’t arrive )
Public areas very clean and really well designed, calm and relaxing with quality furniture and decor - a lovely place to sit and relax .
    Food:
Buffet :good selection for most tastes - not an awful lot of selection for vegetarians but something available every night and at breakfast .
Omelettes are cooked on same grill plate as meat .
Same Utensils are used for both meat and non- meat items both with self service and by catering team.
No fresh juice just sweetened option .
    LOTS of fruit options .
Food cooked well , didn’t have to wait too long in food queue - drinks queue could be a bit of a longer wait .
Lovely fresh bread both morning and evening .
Great Salads and plenty of choice - nice chefs salads and combinations .
    Good pasta section
    Pizza section
Good desserts and nice selection .

We chose to get there early and sit outside- plenty of selection earlier too - it is topped up regularly but once it gets busy people do tend to make a bit of a mess of the original displays.
A lot of parents allow their children to run around , drop food , and disturb other diners so unfortunately the experience isn’t always a relaxing one ( Peppa pig playing at full volume on a phone for a young toddler throughout the entire dinner !)
Although that’s not the fault of the hotel , it’s inconsiderate parents -
But as I say this isn’t a reflection on the hotel maybe they could introduce a headphones only policy for this situation?
I’m a considerate parent and would never allow my children to spoil anyone else’s experience.
The food at the pool was great , and we didnt wait long .
    Service was great too

    Service :
The customer service team were lovely - only a few exceptions who didn’t smile or look happy on reception but the young lady with blond hair and glasses was particularly friendly - Thankyou .
The gentleman running the bowling was brilliant and patient with everyone despite it being very busy at times
Bar staff at pool and in lounge were great .
Can’t comment on kids club other than there was nothing really organised for older children - but did see face painting and mini disco for the smaller children .
    Rooms
Lovely sea views for us , very clean rooms with lots of storage , a mini fridge and kettle .
Comfortable seating on balcony , quality bedding and duvets .
Toiletries provided - not branded but practical.
    Safe in room .

Housekeeping will knock early 8pm - and our Do Not Disturb sign went missing , but very lovely team made sure the rooms were very clean and tidy - and always happy to help - Thankyou .
We didn’t suffer from Ants but there were some in other public areas ( people maybe taking food back to the room ? )
All in all very satisfied with our room and view - could be noisy in corridors in the morning but again this is more down to parents who did not care if their children were shouting and running - don’t get me wrong , I love kids and have them myself but I do try and think of others .
    Wellness centre
We didn’t really use this facility as it was an extra charge and we were travelling as a family - the indoor pool was free of charge but the saunas and ice bath etc were €25 a day .

So , yes , I would rate it 4 star and most of the service came with a smile - Thankyou , in the main we had a lovely stay , you could improve in certain areas - towel availability , broken lift , animation for older kids or some form of evening entertainment ( other than bowling area ), however we also appreciate that you managed very well in the poor weather and despite one or two exceptions the team were really welcoming and engaging - they work so hard and are often not thanked or appreciated by some guests - which is a real shame.
We would visit again - Thankyou .

Room tip: Take your own beach towels Go to Buffet early Sit outside for evening meal ( it’s more peaceful )
