Arriving late after driving all day, we found out hotel and happened to notice this little Chinese restaurant right across the road. The desk clerk hadn't eaten there but said a lot of people mentioned the food was good, so we decided to try it. We were glad to discover that, although it was a dine-in restaurant, we could also order take-out, so that's what we did. We certainly had plenty of left-overs, even considering we had traveled all day and did what amounted to as a feeding-frenzy in our hotel room! I will say that I was completely satisfied with the quality of the food, (with Chinese, you don't always know,) as well as the choices. I can't speak of the table service as we did the take-out, but I can say that if we are in the area again, I wouldn't mind at all, eating there again. I give it two thumbs up!
I went to Mings for a business meeting. It has clearly been around for awhile as one can notice when you walk in and through the restaurant. Some dated items for sure. The private room was large and accommodated our group of 18 easily. I had the orange beef and it was delicious. My husband had the general chicken and was not disappointed. Your eggroll was the same at any other Chinese restaurant serves with sweet and sour sauce. The service was friendly and very efficient with all the separate checks.
Took Dad and Mary to lunch again. Started with the best egg rolls in town. I and kung Palo chicken (as always- I'm in a rut) and Dad had shrimp and lobster sauce. My wife had sweet and sour pork. All were great. The jot and sour soup was excellent too. All was perfect until my Dad got a rancid chip (wanton- to go with the soup). What? Mine were good.
The service was good, in fact great. She deserved an extra tip for putting up with Dad's teasing. We will be back!
I was pleasantly surprised to find this place so close to my residence. The quality of the food was great! Everything was fresh and hot, the service was good, and ordering takeout was very quick. The downside: how pricey the menu is! Everything is a la carte, so to get noodles, soup, and some crab cheese Rangoon cost $20. I won't go frequently, but will definitely go back.
