The current Gus may not be from the original Greek family who developed this hotdog three generations ago, but his is world class and definitely worth sampling when in Birmingham - even Alabama! The place is small- not more than a walled counter wide with customers ordering for take away and eating in. The hotdog is smothered in a meat sauce which gives the unique flavour. There is seating for 12 persons tops but service is brisk and all customers leave smiling. It is excellent low cost, filling, street food and a favourite memory of the culinary variety in Birmingham.
