We went here while in town and were very impressed. From the outside, it looks small but looks can be deceiving. When you walk in, you see just how big it really is. There is an admission but it's well worth it! I'm an aviation nut and was in heaven. This place seems to have everything. They even have a room full of flight simulators that you can fly! I enjoyed our visit and will be back when I'm in Birmingham. If you get a chance, don't pass this place up!

We stopped in on our way to Tuscaloosa and what a gem ! We were warmly greeted and chatted about local history as well as the University of Alabama.Once inside, we found an outstanding collection of planes and information on aviation history. We love the history of the Tuskegee airmen and their accomplishments. After about an hour, we ventured to the other side where we could have easily spent more time. Our teenage sons enjoyed the simulators. We would definitely recommend a visit as the museum is very entertaining for all ages.

We visited this museum just to see historic airplanes and learn of the history of aviation as it relates to this area. It's great in that it's big enough, yet not too big. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

There's quite a few aircraft displayed outside 1 or 2 blocks from the building, on the edge of the airport property. I heard there are long range plans to build a larger, modern museum building that can house the entire collection. I look forward to it.

Learned more about Tuskegee airman then any other museums we have traveled to. Nice exhibition on the North Korea who brought the MiG 15 to the Americans. Never had heard the entire story. Nice collection of planes. Have many different flight simulators to test out.
