We can’t say enough good things about our experience at Cablocos. To start, the communication before out arrival was quick and thorough. Especially, we were looking for a customized tour, tailored to our interests and the fact that we only had 2 nights to spend. Caboclos accommodated us no problem and allowed us to concentrate on what we really wanted to do, including wildlife spotting, jungle trekking and swimming with wild pink dolphins.

Caboclos is like a small close knit community with many family members contributing to the experience. Everyone was welcoming and always smiling when we interacted.

And what to say about our guide Marigita and canoe men Sir Manuel? They were ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Marigita is an absolute gem, filled with interesting knowledge and stories that she willingly shared with us during the entire trip. We also felt like Marigita was so passionate about nature that she took as much fun into doing the activities as we did. We really owe her (and Sir Manuel) a huge thank you but making our Amazon adventure unforgettable.

Some more factual notes:
- FOOD: amazing, fresh, warm and different for each meal. One of us is vegetarian and this was not an issue at all.
- ROOMS: perfectly functional, AC powerful enough to make for cool comfortable nights. Limited cold water but if you complain, I suggest you just stay in the city.
- LOCATION/LAYOUT: the lodge is located far from the city, requiring 1h30 hours by car and h30 by boat. But this is exactly what you want when you want to immerse yourself in the jungle. The location is perfect, with easy access to wildlife/nature as well the different activities.

We could go on and on about our trip. But the point is that we absolutely have nothing but positive things to say about the experience and all the kind people that contributed to it.

Please, if you go to the Amazon, give Caboclos a chance. You will love it!

This lodge is somewhat different from others because of the emphasis on local crafts, and medicinal plants. we got to make cough syrup, soap, see how tapioca is made from cassava, see many medicinal and edible plants. Our guide, Marigita, was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly, and spoke good English. (She also speaks German and Italian and French).
the lodge is well-run, timely, organized, clean. The good was good, healthy. There is always bottled water available. There is air-conditioning and wireless. They do employ locals, and its a family operation, run by an indigenous woman.
we got to "swim" with the dolphins, spotlight for caiman, catch and eat piranha, swim on a white sand beach

Caboclos House is the perfect place to stay if you want to see the Amazon Rainforest. It's cozy, comfortable and the staff is the best, always wiling to help and treating you as family. Besides nature, it's a great place to be in contact with their culture and people. Just loved it and can't wait to go back.
