The building was fun to visit from the outside. We didn't go inside because of the pricing but it was still nice to visit.

My wife and I missed the last tour of the day, but we were still allowed to visit the first and second floors. The opulence was amazing. The statue in the main hall is breathtaking. Stain glass windows are very well done. Spectacular views of the city from the portico.
My wife and I and another couple decided to go to the Masonic Temple because we have been to nearly every other attraction in Alexandria over the years. I wish we had come before. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours. The docents are very, very knowledgeable, the entry fee was very modest, and the interior of the Temple is full of floor after floor of historical displays and artifacts of the Freemasons. I intend to go back soon. I strongly recommend this to be stop on anyone's tour of the Washington D.C. area.
I was impressed with the collection of exhibits and the intersection of narratives about George Washington and Freemasonry in the U.S.A. The artifacts were remarkable and I was delighted to see the views from the observatory deck on a clear day. I recommend this to anyone who has interests in these respective fields of study.
The additional cost of access to the Observation Deck is well worth the money. The all-round views of Washington, the Potomac and Virginia are stunning. Don't miss out on this if you are anywhere nearby.
The staff is friendly. It sits like a beacon on the hill. At the top you can see for miles around DC and Alexandria. A small fee and very much worth the cost. It use to be free. I don't think they give any discounts. You learn all about the masons and the different degrees. The role Washington played, a wealth of information. Free parking.
