If you are looking to do, see and learn something different in and from KL, then I really recommend you to do a bike tour with MikeBikes!
Knowing KL already..(at least I thought so), I did the sunset tour together with my 14 year old son. And we learned a lot of the behind the scenes of KL that I didn’t even know existed!
We’ve all seen the Petronas towers, Merdeka Square and Petaling street but what is going on behind Chinatown or Little India? How do the locals live in the Kampung Baru? Were do they do their shopping? What’s the story behind Merdeka and the river of life project?
We learned so much about KL and it’s inhabitants during these few hours of fun (and safe) cycling through wonderful KL.
The local guides are simply amazing and they are really passionate about their KL, cycling and our well-being !
We had a tasty local dinner, and water was provided during the trip. Also we enjoyed some Malaysian rain during the trip but raincoats were provided and we all know it won’t take long before the rain is gone, as this is Malaysia!
First I though it might be dangerous to cycle in KL, and car drivers wouldn’t be used to this, but MikeBikes’ priority (besides our wellbeing) was our safety. The guides were very pro-reactive, they really know when and where to position so we could cycle our way and we were all equipped with good bikes (with basket for your bag), safety vests, lights.
