I believe in destiny and so a series of events led me to this place. Missed the train, eaten in a restaurant and met the right people that in the end led me in the right bar. I enter in a small door on the street, quite difficult to find. From the street you can see a fountain, I went up some stairs with some people with skate boards. I enter the koba and are immediately greeted by the legendary Bom and staff. The room is quite dark I see the stairs that lead to a room upstairs but I decided to stop at the counter to talk to other people. The meetings which take place in this bar are really incredible, interesting people from all over the world, especially artists and musicians. Immediately it creates a great feeling with everyone. While Bom preparing spaghetti for a customer he tells us some stories of Hiroshima and Japan, about some rock group (especially Heavy metal), all accompanied by great music. I would like to tell you the whole night at koba... but do not I want to tell too much about Koba; when a bar has a great atmosphere, great people and interesting, friendliest staff and warmly welcoming, great music, great food and super cocktail ... do not just have to try it!

I was only in Hiroshima one night and someone recommended this place. It took a little bit to find (I had to ask some locals). Once inside I was pleasantly surprised. 70s rock videos were projected on one of the walls ( I entered the place as Baba O'Riley started). There was hard rock imagery all over the place. KISS memorabilia was proudly displayed. The food was yummy. The staff was super friendly (we are facebook friends now) and the other patrons were very warm and open. I would strongly recommend this place. One of the coolest bars I visited in Japan.
