Food was superb and elegant!
Must venture outside into the lagoons that you can get in as spas throughout the property. Beautiful landscapes makes for relaxing must easier!

No upgrade, no free breakfast, no executive lounge access as a IHG Spire Ambassador, due to the high-volume guests and the price I booked is "too cheap".
Staff are not helpful even I wasn't able to asked for a late check-out. The most ridiculous thing is that hotel asks for a fee if you need more than 5 bottles water in the room. Please be aware, the bottle of water in the room is only an "ice-dew" which worths CNY 0.8 per bottle, not Evian, Voss or other expensive waters.
How dare you call yourself as a luxury hotel, shame on you!
I stayed in this hotel for 10 days straight during the 2020 corona virus period. It was both difficult time for both hotel and guests, however the staff had shown great responsibility and hospitality.
At first, the hotel shut down more than half of its area to keep it less populated. Staff were limited, due to the difficulty situation. Some days there were only one house service lady on duty. However they were able to keep up with the service quality. After a few days, the hotel restaurant had difficulty purchasing fresh food. They still managed to keep the restaurant open. Although the choice were very limited, it is critical for the guest to have a safe place to eat without going out during the special period, and the food quality is maintained to a high level. The price of the food were lowered too!
The hotel managed to keep itself running for a few number of guests, providing a safe and beautiful eden for many guests that couldn't just travel back home because of the virus situation. It is always under such unusual circumstances that you can truly feel the professionalism and hospitality of a great hotel. I'm certain that this hotel and the IHG hotels will be my first choice on my coming trips. Thank you!
A hopped up Holiday Inn Express. Overpriced, very local, inconvenient location, bad food, non-existent service. An embarrassment to the IHG brand.
There are better hotels in Kunming for 1/4 the price. Stay away. If you really want to stay out in the middle of nowhere and must spend top dollar fir accommodation then stay at the InterContinental nearby.
A very comfortable hotel with good service and modern amenities. The breakfast offers excellent selections. There is spa services for additional fee. Some of the room could be quite a distance from the reception or the restaurant area is the only drawback. But all rooms are very quite and relaxing. Soundproof between the rooms could be improved.
