I highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget. Close to metro stations and a few stops away from the main attractions. It's clean. My room was without windows, small with a big bathroom. Fridge was also in the room. Hotel is not easy to find, the entrance is from the Basmannyy Tupic street, google maps don't show it correctly.

We chose to stay here as the hotel is close to all the stations and we were travelling in from Irkutsk (Trans-Siberian Railway). We didn't expect much and were REALLY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! The hostel is hidden away on the 5th/6th floor of an old building. The lady as reception was friendly (no English) and to the point. She led us to our rooms and provided us with a free breakfast lunchbox each (crackers, coffee, porridge).

The place is very basic but SPOTLESSLY clean. We chose to pay for the superior room and it was beautiful! So airy with really high ceilings and massive windows. Obviously a lot of care goes in to maintaining the cleanliness of this property. The bed was huge and comfy, and the room had its own water heater and a massive bath. We also had a little kitchen area of our own and really strong free wifi.

There are many places to stay in Moscow, but this really is a hidden gem. Cheap, immaculately clean, spacious, close to all the major transportation hubs, and in a short walk away from a really up and coming area of the city!

I am writing this review in the hope more people get to experience the inexpensive ease of staying here in Moscow!
Enjoy!

Room tip: Choose the superior room. It is beautiful! Much better than you will get for this price anywhere else in Moscow city!

You get what you pay for... The room is cheap (€20 per night pp) and for that amount you get a prepacked lunchbox with crackers, Sausage, Milk, coffee / tea, chocolate and oat meal. Beds are average. Room is very clean. Reception doesn't speak English. They also have a small shop to buy water etc. Good location near metro and trainstation for Trans Mongolian trip. One thing: they should have made bigger curtains, they don't cover the whole window...

If you think you like it, find the hotel alongside the railway on the corner, 5th floor.
