Owner description: From meeting pelicans to viewing playful seals and, if luck permits, leaping dolphins and shy turtles - all this and more on our daily morning educational dolphin and seal cruises. We depart at 09h00 (check-in 08h30) every morning from our Jetty at the Walvis Bay Waterfront for a marine educational sightseeing tour in the bay area in search of the marine big 5: Whales, Dolphins, Mola, Leatherback turtle and seals. While serving hot coffee and tea, our initial route takes us past oyster farms to Pelican Point with its landmark lighthouse and 60,000 resident Cape Fur Seals. In season (July to November), larger mammals such as the Southern Right Whale and Humpback Whales are often spotted. Bottlenose, Heaviside and Dusky dolphins are regularly seen, as are Mola Molas and Leatherback Turtles. Our journey from Pelican Point takes us past some of the more interesting ships and oil rigs in the bay as we serve fresh oysters with sparkling wine, savoury snacks and desserts.

We were suggested this tour by friends and family. It really exceeded our expectations as our guide, Joe, was both knowledgeable and delivered his material in a funny and relatable way. The crew were prepared for the cold weather (as we took this tour in July) and plied us with blankets, coffee, tea and Old Brown Sherry. Afterwards we were treated to a fantastic spread of fresh oysters and seafood nibbles, with some less adventurous items such a sausage rolls supplied as well. We had some lovely close ups of jackals, dolphins, seals and pelicans with the two latter actually jumping onto the boat to visit us. Would 100% recommend this to anyone thinking of doing a tour, especially as we were on the biggest catamaran in the bay!

The weather on the morning of our cruise was perfect, following on from the unpleasant Ost Weather wind experienced in Walvis Bay the previous day. We enjoyed an amazing cruize on the catamaran with pelicans and seals landing on the deck. Close up sightings of the seal colony, dolphins, jellyfish, and to crown it all a moonfish on the surface. The lady guide was very pleasant, and knowledgeable about the Walvis Bay area and Namibia as a whole. The fresh oysters, sparkling wine and other freshly made finger snacks served were outstanding. This is certainly a 'Must Do' activity. Catamaran Charters are operating their business efficiently.

We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day, but not too hot, for our cruise. The seals & pelicans were fun but particularly enjoyed the commentators stories, information & trivia about the area. (I believe his name was Joe). I even laughed at his bad jokes & puns! Refreshments served were nice & the lunch provided on our return ride was good. Even tho it wasn't ideal dolphin season we were treated to several swimming & jumping so counted ourselves lucky!
Overall a very pleasant & relaxing morning!

This is one of those bucket list trips! Amazing staff! Pelicans on the boat, great story telling, service was awesome ;food was fantastic!! We ate and drank the entire way. Champagne was free flowing, oysters, seal pies, fish, calamari ,all so fresh and in plenty. We were a big group and we were all well fed/overfed with a staff only too happy to serve you. seals jumping on board... great photo opportunities. Breath taking!

Pelikans landing on the boat. Seal jumping up the back and dauphins in the water. Very nice. Very nice light lunch and lots of bubbles served. I highly recommend this trip, just don't forget a jumper AND a jacket (in addition to the blankets they provide)!
