Until we don't see dolphins and whales, it was a great cruise !
One of Sea lion lion and a pelican were tamed and were with us most of the time.
Be careful to your glasses Isabelle the pelican like it ! You can stroke him if your hand let's open.
We drink Sherry and a sort of "champagne" ( sparkling Chardonnay ?) and eat mussels and canapés for aperitifs.
The crew ont the boat were very nice and have sense of humour. We have seen also colony sea lions and a lot of cormorans.

If you want to see animals very close it's the good cruise.

We arrived at the Jetti to two lovely ladies behind the desk, who registered us for the morning trip. Once registered, we were given complementary postcards, of pictures to do with the sea- a small detail, but so lovely at the same time. Once we boarded the boat, the seals came on the boat. It was lovely to see that they came of free will, and actually, it was a struggle to get them off! They had names for the seals, and stories for most of them. After the seals were off, on came the Pelicans. They were more stubborn, however amazing to see up close. Our guide was very knowledgable about the area, but also made it a very enjoyable trip. The buffet was good, and the trip, in all, was good.

Went for the morning dolphin cruise but alas saw no dolphins. Lots of pelicans and seals. Got to see a lighthouse. Ate some oysters and a light lunch. Wouldn't necessarily recommend.

The first part of this full day was on a catamaran cruising through the lagoon with pelicans, seals and seagulls coming onto the boat. great to take pictures if you like that kind of a trip. Not my wine. The crew very friendly and good company but for me this was not interesting. THEN we got into a jeep and hit the dunes and beach driving along the sea to sandwich harbor. Superb. Now this was right up my alley. After a picnic lunch between the dunes and sea we started our way back home and that was the highlight of the day. Our driver took us up to the top of many dunes and yes there where many screams from some passengers. Loved every minute.

The half day tour was an enjoyable & leisurely way to see Walvis Bay. The catamaran trip included some close encounters with pelicans & seals which boarded the boat to feast on some small fish provided by the staff. It was great to see the animals up close & also see a colony of fur seals & a large Mola Mola fish that happened to be swimming around nearby. The food & champagne was a nice touch & the staff were fantastic. Probably not a cruise for thrill or adventure seekers but definitely a lovely morning out on the water.
