This hotel is located at the far end of Kota Kinabalu city centre next to a mall. It's within walking distance to some spots frequented by tourists like the jetty and Gaya Street. We didn't have breakfast there as it is within walking distance to many local eateries that we wanted to try out. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The staff have also been super helpful, taking the time to help us find string to attach to a protective phone cover for water sports. We really appreciate their attentiveness and patience in stringing it for us as well despite likely being very busy at such a popular hotel. We only have praises for Hotel Grandis.

The staff have been very friendly upon check in and helpful in finding tour for first time traveler to sabah like me, besides some hiccups like thai disco music blaring in my ears during one late night dinner, the other aspect of the hotel has been lovely. Positioned at one end of the town yet easy enough to travel around. Clean rooms and adequate amenities.

Special mention to concierge - Gulam, Duty Manager - Perry, and Front Desk staff (Tara and a great other ladies) for making my stay a pleasant one. Will definitely stay here again for my next trip to sabah.
