As a Lego fan, my kids enjoyed here very much. It's an amusement park but for teenager would found it's boring. Even some of the them my boy who is 10 years old found it's boring.
But in general it's fun for the kids.
We were there on a very very hot days but you can find food and drink stalls around, also drink vending machine.
Nevertheless, I brought our own drink and food that we bought from shops in town, it helped me saved money.

I bought ticket in advance from their website to get cheaper price (family package) but you can also buy ticket in advance at 7-11.

The area is easy to access by train and cars. I travelled by train, it was fast and easy to walk to the place from the train station.
On the way you will find a bridge and if you walk till the end of the bridge, kids can slide down rather than walk down but adult need to walk down the stairs anyway.

We went on a Friday (28/7) with young kids aged 3-7. They had lots of fun.
The submarine ride is nice, and the splash battle was fun even for adults. However a few rides were closed on the day (for maintenance?) and the movie in Lego City was cancelled last minute.
There were queues for most rides and I think the longest we waited was almost an hour for the SQUID surfer. Other rides took an average of 20 mins.
This is how we planned the day and it worked out quite well. Managed to do most of the rides:
-if you take the aonomi line train from Nagoya station, check if they have nonstop trains that morning. It's about 10 mins faster than the regular trains. I found the schedule at the train website but it's in Japanese only. We took the nonstop train but it's not the legoland themed train - just a normal looking train.
-there is a security check before you get to the gate but it was quite fast. I don't think you are allowed to bring food and drinks into the park but we got in with bottled water.
-arrive early when the park opens. Buy tickets in advance so they just need to scan at the gate. We got a family pass online in advance.
-once inside the park, ignore everything and go straight to Adventure (on the right side) and do the submarine ride first. While waiting you can go back to Bricktopia and book a Lego class at the Robotic Centre. Suggest to get the last time slot of the day because it's near the exit.
-then go around the park in an anti clockwise direction.
-check the shows schedule (there is a QR code on the park map)
-bring a raincoat for the splash battle. You can get very wet. (But they also have body dryers in case you get soaking wet. )
-buy soft drinks from vending machines. It's 30% cheaper than from the restaurants and it's not from a soda fountain.
-long queues at the burger place even at 2pm so probably try to eat earlier or even later if possible
-leave shopping until the very end as there is a Big Shop near the exit.
-do the photo taking near the entrance area at the end of the day when the rides are closed for the day.

We were there from 10am to 6:30pm and did probably 80% of the park. Did not have time for Miniland at all... We could have spent more time in the play areas and Lego free play areas as well but unfortunately ran out of time. We also didn't manage to see the live show because it clashed with the Lego class.

The park is not big but you can easily spend a whole day there. Worth a visit if you have young kids.

Great place for kids up to around 12 years of age. Well decorated. Easy to go to, from Nagoya Station. Great staff.

This Legoland is not a patch on Malaysia or San Diego. Less rides and so much smaller. I would not recommend it for ages outside 7 to 11, whereas you can go a little higher at the others. You would never need the hotel stay as was really great at Malaysia where there was just so much to do on day two - especially with the water park

Legoland Japan opened in April this year. I went to there in May, because my 3-year-old daughter’s kindergarten organized a parent-kid field trip. At the end of the day, I think it is not a successful or friendly park.

1. <Price>
The single time ticket is 6900/adult (>18y); 5300/child (3y-18y). This price is about the same as Disneyland and USJ, which are the 2 biggest and most popular theme parks in Japan. But notice that Disneyland and USJ charge 4800/child from 4y, yet Legoland charges 5300 from 3y.
2. <Performance>
When you look at this price setting, normal person, which means not big lego fan, expects the trip to be as fun as Disneyland or USJ offers.
You are NOT going to get that!
a. Legoland opens from 10:00-17:00!!! What kind of theme park will close at 5pm?! It is summer, the sky gets dark after 7pm!
b. The park area is only 9 hectare, while each of DisneyLand, DisneySea and USJ is about 50 hectare.
c. Legoland has 40 attractions, which is more than the other parks, where have 28~40. However, the construction fee of Legoland was only 32 billion yen, which is about 1/10of the other parks. So in Legoland, there are no high-tech or cool stuff! Don’t expect 3D Spiderman attractions! The submarine goes through waters with live fishes is maybe their best original attraction.
d. It maybe usual in all the popular parks to lineup wand wait for 1 hour for an attraction. I understand, but still can stop feeling disappointed to finish the ride in 70 seconds….
3. <Food and Drink>
When I visited, it is not allowed to bring any food or drink into the park. And there was no re-entry system. The food in the park was expensive. For now, I kind of heard that they start the re-entry system, so you can go out to have lunch in near restaurants.
4. Tips: Do check the calendar of Legoland before your visit. In August 2017, they open all the time, but in September, all the Tuesdays and Wednesdays are closed.

In a word, I am not planning to visit again in the near future. And I recommend it, if: a. You are a huge lego fan! b. You live near and can visit a lot within one year, then a year-pass is good, much cheaper than the year-pass of Disneyland’s and USJ’s.
