Best experience of our trip to Thailand was to get up close to such beautiful creatures and interact with them ️️
Fabulous day out. We’re picked up on time. Took an hour travelling to sanctuary. Well designed. They have toilets and showers. Initially they give a talk on the history of the elephants and how they set up the sanctuaries. Then off to feed the elephants. They are very tame and calm and just want to be fed. Then we got changed into our cosies and I took an old T shirt to cover up from the sun. I threw this out at the end as covered in mud. The mud bath with the elephants is very interactive. You cover the elephants with mud, then into the pool to wash off the mud, then under the shower where we scrubbed the elephants. Over all it’s a great day out. Absolutely loved it and great to be up close and personal with such huge creatures. A definite must do when in Phuket.
The whole experience was a lot of fun and the hosts were very friendly. The experience also included lunch which was a nice surprise.
This made my whole holiday! A wonderful day with these protected and rescued elephants. Its totally inter-active with feeding, mudding, swimming and showering. Take bathers and a towel and join in. Great fun and super for kids.
We learned so much from the caregivers. I appreciated that before we got to interact with the elephants, they took the time to teach us about why they are rescuing these amazing animals. I never realized how painful it is for elephants to carry large platforms with numerous people. Their spine is not designed for that. The whole experience from feeding, bathing, and the great lunch was well worth the price. Would recommend this to anyone and would do it again!
Really enjoyed this with our 4 kids. Such majestic animals and heart warming to see how much they are cared for.
