We stayed two nights at Four Points Sheraton prior to our safari. We appreciated being able to check in after we arrived from our morning flight. The hotel grounds are very nice, and the pool area looked appealing, although we did not use it. The breakfast buffet was good although I would have like better pastries. We had drinks in the bar in the afternoon and only later did we find out that they made pizzas outside in the evening...we wish that would have been communicated to us.
The entire staff was very friendly and welcomed our attempts to practice a few words of Swahili.
Our room 816 was comfortable but a long walk to the main lobby and restaurant, and not a great view. However, due to having recently obtained a Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card, we were able to pay for the room with points and still have many points and a $300 gift card left over (so it was definitely worth it).
There is a bank and post office right across the street. We bought stamps for postcards at the post office and the hotel mailed them for us. We are happy that they have already arrived (within two or so weeks of mailing). We walked around town a bit and had a good dinner at Kitamu Coffee, but opted to eat at the hotel Parachichi restaurant the next night. The meal and service were very good, although pricier than Kitamu Coffee, of course.
