Most definitely one of the most remarkable hotels I have ever stayed, rather enjoyed every single moment during my whole entire stay. Friendly arrival and welcome, excellent facilities and professional member of staff, fitness center and swimming pool also quite decent, stayed in a suite, and even got a couple of fruits as a welcome gift, breakfast was wonderful, loved the entire stay and appreciated every smile and second.

Room tip: Go for upgraded rooms with breakfast

The hotel staff is very friendly and grounds are lovely. I loved the gym, too, and the location is very convenient. The rooms are a bit hit or miss - I stayed here twice and found the room in the main lodge to be much nicer than the annex building. I had to change rooms when I first checked in, too, because the wifi router was too far away to get a connection and the service phone was broken. So if you’re booking, request a room in the main building!

Room tip: Get a room in the main building! Also the hotel does not arrange airport pickups, even though it says they do on Marriott’s website.

First of all Arusha is a nice place to visit! I highly recommend it for the weather and the general atmosphere.
My stay at Four Points was good. The room was very nice, the staff were accommodating and the water pressure in the shower was noteworthy.
Where the hotel fell short was the breakfast buffet. Though the food was good the variety was disappointing. The person many omelets only sort of know what they were doing and they started allowing us to get food 30-45 minutes after the buffet was supposed to start.
All of this dropped the whole experience from very good to average.
Maybe the next time the food will be better. If so I’ll happily update my average review.

Dear Ricky98a,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel during your visit with us.

We take every concern seriously as we work towards delivering a great guest experience.
We have taken steps to make sure that our breakfast buffet and all other meals have a wider variety and the service delivery is timely.

We hope that we will have an opportunity to host you again in the very near future.

My boyfriend and I just completed a Tanzania trip where we stayed at the Four points one day prior to and two days after our safari. The property itself is beautiful; a lush garden, nice gym overlooking the pool and ample seating in the lobby and restaurant area. I’d say this is the only hotel of its class in the area.

I booked both of my stays with points( good point to dollar value IMO) and as a platinum member we were automatically upgraded to a suite on our first night, it was simple but spacious. However, on the second stay we were not upgraded despite a nearly desolate hotel. I noticed that they also do not utilize any of the additional wings of the hotel besides those directly near the lobby- a shame as I imagine the gardens would be a slightly better view. In addition to no upgrade given, there is no lounge, no happy hour and breakfast was not included because I booked with points; in my past experiences breakfast has been included regardless but that may have just been good fortune on my behalf. I would say that the lack of perks are my only negatives about the experience.

Some other things to note:

The hotel allowed us to store an extra bag while on safari ( filled with our post safari Zanzibar attire) which was nice.

The breakfast is a set rate regardless if you just have a small peck or a full meal (20$ USD). On our last day we adventured to “Africafe” just half a block outside the hotel and it was so lovely if you are looking to change things up. However, be warned that this isn’t so much a lovely walkable place, people will try and see you things the second you leave the hotel, as they do most other places in the region.
