Good place to stay before your safari especially if driving to NCA or Serengeti

Stayed for 2 nights prior to driving to Ngorongoro crater for safari. Rooms are clean & comfortable.

Ate buffet style breakfast/ dinner and ala-carte for lunch. They do have chefs specializing in Indian cuisine and we definitely enjoyed some good Indian food during our stay.

If you are a tea drinker then definitely try their Masala tea which is very good.

Room tip: Can visit Arusha National park from the hotel if day time is free to spot some of lesser seen Serengeti species. Need car to go to park.

Two night stay before Safari!

We were pleasantly welcomed at the African tulip hotel after landing in Tanzania. We were greeted with fresh juice and kind staff. The room was very clean and spacious with a shower and tub. The food was delicious and buffet style. There was lots of choices and you definitely did not go anywhere hungry. Drinks were fairly priced with lots to choose from, highly recommend the pina colada. The pool area was a nice touch for a hot day. Overall the service was great and I would recommend a stay here if you are traveling in/around Arusha.

Perfect start to our safari!

The first hotel on our safari journey and it was perfect! Super clean, the staff are amazing!! The manager, Deepanshu was very kind and cared about your stay and making sure everything was good. Food was delicious, lots to choose from, and if anyone’s a picky eater they had plainer options too. We relaxed around the pool, it was so peaceful watching the little birds fly in and out of the trees.
The place felt homely and welcoming, would recommend.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely restaurant, with excellent food and great ambiance. Ideal place for meeting or lunch! They have great chef de cuisine, so I really enjoyed the meal here. If you pass by Arusha consider stop at The African Tulip

An unexpected bonus to our trip.

Very nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Manager was also very nice to talk to. I would certainly request to stay her the night before and after any safari I do again out of Arusha.
