We began our Tanzania journey with a two-night stay at the African Tulip. The comfort, the warmth, the service, the attention, the tranquility ... couldn't ask for more. I'm not sure about the location, as we had a driver to take us around. The grounds are beautiful, quaint, and the interior is welcoming, comfortable, and magnificent ... all at the same time. Very friendly staff, and quite accommodating. Would definitely recommend to folks I know, and to folks I do not know.

We stayed at the African Tulip for one night as part of our 7-day safari package. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms and beds were comfortable and spacious, and the food was very good. We only stayed one night, but we'd happily recommend this place to anyone, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in Arusha.

The team at The African Tulip went out of their way to make our stay special. Everyone is very polite and helpful. The location is safe. The hotel is charming. The food was good, especially the Indian. They helped us with all our belongings before, during and after our climb on Kili. We trusted them with our valuables while we were on the mountain. They helped us clean our boots when we returned. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. The list goes on.

Beautiful room, excellent service and delicious food! Very impressed with everything. Our only issue (and it wasn’t any fault of the hotel) was that from our room on Saturday night we could here a concert or dance party going on someplace on the street until 4:30am Sunday morning. Not the hotel’s fault, though and it was taken care of with earplugs.
