Just love it here. Great staff, who we look forward to seeing each trip. Feels like home to us now. Really enjoy the pool access rooms, which provide a par sun/par shade pool, with easy access. With your own kitchen area, table and couch, it is very easy to cope with. Good breakfast always delivered on time and with a smiles. Some maintenance work is being done to keep things fresh...looking forward to coming back again later in the year.

I think most of the other bad reviews were unfair especially when it comes down to how much the room cost. If this had everything everyone wanted it would cost $500 + per night, (no where in Bali can you get private villa and pool for less) .. then they would moan its too expensive. It has to be put into perspective.
OK so for me I paid $125 AUD including a great breakfast. This was incredibly cheap and for that and the exceptional service it gets 5stars and that's rare for me.
The service was fantastic and the staff made me feel very welcome and catered for everything. Why would I want to see the pool guy..? These things are done while your away or when they service your room. The bathroom was lovely and the bedroom that of a posh hotel. The lounge was adequate though I would have preferred the TV there than the bedroom but understandably no room. Yes the kitchen was basic but who comes to Bali to cook? It's pointless unless your here for months as the ingredients would cost more than the meal in a local Warung.
The fridge was very cold perfect for a beer by the pool.
The only real negatives I can think of was that it's a bit tired looking, mold /rising damp from the pool and the sliding windows / doors did have a problem with closing and locking but it's doubtful anyone's going to jump a 4m wall swim across your pool and steal something that's not locked in you safe. So far no ones stolen the TV or DVD player.
The location is also great, 5 mins walk to a great beach and 1 minute from resteraunts and bars.
To summarise don't expect to pay what I did (booked off the internet) but I also probably wouldnt pay rack rate. I think if you can get this villa with private pool for between $200-$300 pn that would be fair.

We booked the three bedroom residence, even though there was only the two of us. We wanted the larger pool, bigger lounge and larger bedroom. Also the bathroom had a large free standing shower with a seperate bath so that suited us better. But for the $260AUD per night, it really wasn't worth it. Liked the comfy bed and the sheets were lovely, nice and soft. But other things were just disappointing, There was only two sun loungers ( too bad if 4 or 6 people were staying there!) but no outside table to put your drinks, book, sunglasses on. Had to request one. No ashtray provided. Had to request one. No pool towels provided. Had to request them. No extra toilet rolls in bathroom. Had to request them. No towel drying rack near pool. Had to hang bathers and towels on the sun loungers. Ensuite toilet blocked up and had to be fixed. Blocked up again on our last day ( we stayed 5 days) but didn't bother advising them, just used the one in the lounge/kitchen area. One day for breakfast they forgot to bring the orange juice. Another day they forgot to bring the jam/marmalade for the toast. NONE of the glass sliding doors in the lounge area could be locked, they were all out of balance on their casters and there was huge gaps in between. So we always put anything we didn't want to go missing into the bedroom. The bedroom had a glass sliding door that we noticed on the day we arrived, couldn't lock. I didn't feel at all comfortable sleeping in a bedroom that can't be locked ( who would?!) so they got someone to fix it. Never saw a pool guy the whole time we were there. The two pool lights were green with slime around them. The kitchen was shocking in that it lacked anything that would be necessary for a comfortable stay, especially if there was 4 or more guests. In the cupboards, there was 2 large plates, 2 bowels, 2 coffee cups and 4 glasses. In the drawer, there was one teaspoon. Hardly fitted out for a family! If we had paid $100 a night, I probably wouldn't be so negative about it all, but when you pay more than double that, your expectations are greater. Staff were lovely, but overall we don't feel it's worth the money. Wouldn't stay again.

We had a wonderful 11 nights over Christmas at Puri Hiromi - a real home away from home. The one bedroom private pool villa was everything we needed for a relaxing stay; a massive comfortable bed that gave us at least 10 hours sleep a night, a deep bath and strong shower in the beautiful bathroom, the open plan kitchen and living room with glass doors giving direct access to the pool and the deck area with sun beds. Some reviews mention being overlooked but this wasn't a problem for us - there were only people in the room above us for a few days and they kept their curtains closed the whole time.

Breakfast was delivered to the room each morning by the friendly staff - there was plenty of choice and we enjoyed both the Indonesian (chicken porridge was a favourite!) and western style (cereal, toast etc) ordering a plate of fresh fruit each day too.

The hotel is perfectly placed on the main road through Sanur, only a couple of minutes from the beach and near lots of shops, restaurants and bars. While it's nice to relax by the private pool in Puri Hiromi, it's also easy to enjoy a beach day in Sanur as there are hotels offering sun beds on the beach, full access to their facilities (including pools, showers, towels etc) and lunch for only 120IDR (about £7) - well worth it if you're there all day.

Sanur is one of my favourite places in the world and I look forward to staying at this wonderful hotel on my next visit!

Room tip: Private pool villa at the back of the property - away from road and plenty of sun!

Friedly staff, good for it's price. Pool was clean and good also for kids. Breakfast was amazing and you can also choose additional fruit plate or pancake. Room was little worn off but I think at for this price you can't expect more than Puri Hiromi offered us.
