good location , few minutes to the beach, and restaurants ,the villas are well laid out,
friendly staff , Audrey the manager is very helpful and listens to our constructive criticism
i.e needs complete renovations to all the villas, need all new bed sheets and towels ,all the restaurant china should be replaced, and many tables require fixing wifi is poor in the villas ,the staff badly need training in service , speaking and understanding the English language ,every day you you had to fill a form in to order your next mornings breakfast , (o dear ) breakfast was a hit and miss as to what we ordered , the systems needs changing ,after all we still enjoyed our stay with you, but would not want to pay any more then our 45% discounted price we had, thank you Audrey

Room tip: all villas have sun most of the day

The hotel has private villas with pools which are okay. You can defiantly tell all is a bit outdated and in need of some replacements or maintenance. It's not bad but also not great.
Located next (200mtr) from the beach is comfortabel while its a bit north of the busy hotels leaving it more private and quite. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
Not completely convinced if you get full worth for your money, I personally think it's slightly overpriced vs. quality and service.

Recently spent 5 days at this establishment. Our very first impressions of the place were good. Then we settled in. No glasses or cutlery or plates available
either in the room or outside area. Huge chunky stained coddle cups in room. Breakfast is ordered the night before and delivered, plates and cups chipped and cracked. Although our breakfasts were prepaid we chose to eat at the cafe down the road. Often no towels on lounges around pool, and none available. Too few lounges including one with a broken leg. The villas have a lovely outdoor shower, but the bathroom was a disgrace. Black tiles that were filthy. All the floor, walls and around the bath the tiles were dull and appeared to be covered with lime and soap. We tried cleaning a patch and it came up ok, so the bathroom needed a really good clean. The staff were charming and helpful. None of this was their fault. It felt to. Us that the place needed a complete fit out, it is in a good location and could easily be improved. We are completely bamboozled by the previous reviews of the Mahapala because there is no way this establishment could be anywhere near a four star rating.

Room tip: My tip would be to choose a room somewhere else

Villa Mahapala offers discrete villas with private pool, daybed and an outdoor lounge within a private yard. The private villas are elegant and spacious with both inside and outside bathroom. Mahapala villas are situated about a 100m from the beach walk on the Sanur beach. The service of the staff was polite and heartily giving our stay a very personal touch.
It would have been nice if the hotel had it's own beach section for their guests, but I suppose the beach nearby is a public beach.

We stayed in Mahapala for two days. We were amazed by the room size. The villa's private pool was as clean as the public pool. We enjoyed swimming in the pools a lot.
The breakfasts were average. There were some problems with the sewerage in the bath room, they had sent a technician to check but still didn't fix it properly.
