The location of the hotel is just 5 min walk from Sanur beach. The decor of the hotel is very modern. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are many restaurants nearby at a walking distance. The breakfast buffet is ok. The swimming pool is on the terrace and has a good view to the ocean. The staff are friendly . But there are some issues which needs to be fixed-
1. The rooms are very poorly insulated for sound. Every night there is a live performance either in the bar at the terrace or at the restaurant in ground floor. And the noise is so much, that the rooms are practically unlivable during this time. Sometimes you can also hear any movement in the rooms next to you or above you. This is difficult to fix, as I believe , the construction material and design of the architecture is to be blamed. Note: we stayed in studio 40 room on second floor.
2. The food quality in room service is not good, and very inconsistent. We ordered the same item 3 times and were served different stuff each time, with varying ingredients and components. Simply put, don't expect to be served what you read in the menu.
3. They took full payment of our stay at the time of check in, even before we saw the room. I am not too sure how common is this practice, but I have never seen it anywhere else, and personally was a bit put off by this. Imagine after this, if a guest is given a bad room, he or she has very few options.
4. Communication of information about the hotel facilities and events is very poor. Like at the day of leaving we came to know about a beach club, similarly there was an event which we were unaware about. Maybe some board at the restaurant or reception about these will help all guests.
5. The car rental charges are very high , almost double of what you can get outside. I am not too sure if anyone actually hires cars from the hotel at those exorbitant rates. If they can charge more realistic rates , more people will rent cars from the hotel only.
If they can improve on these things , it will be a much preferred place of stay...
