Location is perfect! Very convenient since it is just in Kuta and 5min away form the airport. The resort is well maintained despite being in business for a long time. I like that it is very quiet during the night. There's a lot of motorcycle rental and foreign exchange just outside the resort. I recommend you donwload the app WAZE when touring around bali. It is very accurate! I also recommend you try their indian cuisine!More

My wife and I spent night at Risata on 2 April, 2020.
It was an amazing experience~ the grounds, pool, restaurant, bar and Staff were all excellent!
Check in and check out were very smooth.
The rooms are large, the bed soft, the shower water hot and the air con cold.
Everyone that we met was very friendly and could not do enough for us.
We are already planning a May 2020 stay!!

Nicely located near Lippo Mall and lots of restaurants & shops. Close to beach (although lots of rubbish on sand) Great pool and lovely gardens. Very friendly staff. Indian restaurant quite nice.

When Risata opened its doors 29 years ago, it became a buzzing resort with visitors from all over the world. Many languages were spoken and friendships established. Risata moved quickly to a 4 star resort in Kuta and very deservedly. We all came to celebrate and experience the traditions and cultures of this amazing country. Then five years ago someone hit the self destruct button and everything changed. Sadly we witnessed the demise of our favourite resort. Today Risata looks tired and worn, except the beautiful gardens, that's what got my points. The pool, once the flagship, is now a health hazard. When we arrived, the pool was green and slimy. After many complaints from guests, we were invited to go next door to Rama Resort to cool down. Beautiful resort and pool. The following day the offer was withdrawn as Risata pool contractors declared the pool clean. It was far from it. When approached the management were in total denial and sent a response through Trip Advisor saying: " We had a lot of rain". Risata's pool equipment is simply out of date and totally inadequate; two out of three filters not working. The food that was once a culinary display of niceties is now dominated by 'non authentic' Indian dishes. If I wanted an Indian experience I would go to India not Bali. Sorry Risata your four stars have disappeared. Your staff are the ones that are holding you together. Thanks Risata for a good 15+ years of memories but we won’t be back.
The resort is located in close proximity to the beach but is just far enough away from the madness of Kuta Beach to be pleasant. As you walk along the beach you feel the stress leave your body as you manage to get away from the barrage of hawkers. The resort is fairly well contained and you don’t need to venture out if you are looking for some solitude. The staff are pleasant, the pool is clean and the bar is well stocked with Bintang, what more do you need?
The beachside resort with ample of parking space and waiting facility for Guides and Vehicles.
The indian food for vegetarians at their own Annapurna Restaurant is too good. They provide variety for your spicy appetite.
Staff is gentle and helpful!
Common pool is also too good and lots of area available for sunbath.
