I just spent about 10 days working with Aayush Rathi, the cofounder of roobaroo walks in Varanasi. I am a photojournalist and was working on a personal project about Varanasi and Aayush was excellent. Not only is his knowledge deep, but he is a beautiful human being, up for anything, full of ideas and a great companion as well as guide. We had transformative conversations about life and he taught me so much about Hinduism in terms of its culture, rituals and history. These guys get an A+!

Did a tour with Roobaroo 3 years ago in Varanasi and loved it. It was my second time in that place and Roobaroo helped me to see the city from a totally new angle and enjoy all the hustle and bustle around us much more. So when I saw that the tours had also expanded to Delhi, I took one on a visit this year and it proved to be very worth it once again. Definitely recommend the nice and interesting people that guide you!

Just do yourself a favour and book this tour! FOOD, FOOD, FOOD! For any foodie, this tour is pure joy, and for any non-foodie probably an eye opener. Sudarshan took wonderful care of us, and fed us like kings! It was so different than what we were expecting with such a broad range of cuisines. While we walked through the heart of Varanasi, we stopped at places we would have never found on our own and had bites, snacks, plates, nibbles, lassi, sweets and dessert. With Sudarshan’s beautiful and in-depth stories about history, religion, politics and culture accompanying the tour, it gave us such an exceptional insight into Varanasi, which we would have never experienced on our own! Thank you!

I used Roobaroo for almost all the activities they have in Varanasi and I did not regret it. Anupam was a great guide to the Southern Varanasi and the sunrise boat, and Mudita drove us to the hidden corners of the North part and the Sunset boat. Mudita also guided us to the food places of the town (making us unable to walk from too much eating in the process). Anupam and Mudita, Thank you for two amazing days.

Review of: Sarnath Tour

All India is full of history, of course, but the chance to be at the very place were Budha first taught after his enlightenment, is something special, regardless your own religion. If you combine this experience with a passionate storyteller like Anupam, then the whole thing goes to a level to remember. He walked us through the site, he explained the meaning and the holiness of the place and he even helped us afterwards with our train trip from Varanasi.
