The seen is same like anywhere else where two rivers meet. If you are a rafting enthusiast you can go for rafting in Zanskar river. But what's the fun of rafting in a plain and calm river.

We started our rafting expedition 14 kms upstream of Indus river, 7 kms in rapids and 7 kms in clam water. The rafting expedition ended on the mesmerizing confluence of the great Indus and Zanskar Rivers. The colour of waters of both rivers are in stark contrast. Zanskar water is calm green, Indus is yellow. At the confluence the colour mixes. Nice to see.

We don’t get confluences in the UK so the sight of 2 rivers - one slow and clean the other fast and full of silt - joining together was absolutely amazing. Not to be missed.

You get better views from the upper road location. Worth the visit. Don't need to spend much time here. You can have a stop from the upper road, enjoy the views and take some picture and move on.

A remarkable meeting of the turqoise blue Indus with the brownish grey waters of the Zanskar river. The junction is well defined and clearly visible. An excellent place to touch the waters of both rivers most conveniently. The location is easily accessible by car. Worth spending half hour to enjoy the view.
