We were If you are from England and love curry them of course it goes hand-in-hand with a beer....this restaurant has no alcohol so you need to take your own.
The welcome was pleasant and the restaurant is well appointed with nicely decorated interior. We were served popadoms and dips quickly but in tiny portions and they were rather lack-lustre.
Typically of the Egyptians, if you order starters as well as mains, you run the risk of all the food arriving together and I'm afraid this is what happened to us.
The onion bhajee and samosa were pretty good but very dry and no dips were offered. We asked for more but it didn't arrive until after our mains arrived!
We had a spicy chicken stew and chicken korma for main course. Both were tasty. We shared a plain rice, and one portion is plenty for two people. Be warned that they will quarter your naan, so if you like it whole as we do then ensure you tell them when you order.
If you are staying at this end of Naama Bay it's probably worth a try but it's not that much cheaper than the Indian at the Camel and we think the food over there is better (and at least you get a napkin, rather than a box of tissues on the table!)
The bill was £29 in total, but be aware that they a add service charge to the total. I'm afraid we won't be returning.
