Description: Sister Srey Cafe is a Social Enterprise, in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Run and operated by Sisters Lauren And Cassie. The Girls, opened the business to have "Good Coffee" and also help and support Khmer students and to make a sustainable impact into the community. Our vision at Sister Srey Cafe is to support young Khmer students who struggle to keep a balance between study and supporting their family. Each staff member in trained in hospitality, English language skills, personal development, health and hygiene and banking. We are a stepping stone to a brighter future and a means for them to have skills and knowledge to approach the world empowered and confident. Sister Srey has various incentives and activities in which support the local and rural community. The cafe goes to sustainable measures to help the environment and to be as enviromentally friendly as possible. We are commited to being plastic free, having bio degradable food packaging, organic coffee and miniamising waste. Monthly, our staff participate in our community service program "Helping out a friend" Where each staff member chooses a NGO or project of choice and do something for people less fortunate than themselves. To date we have had, staff building wells and toilets for families, participating in a soup kitchen to feed street children and health workshops. Sister Srey also composts all waste and goes to directly to NGO Green Gecko Farm and has a sustainable recycling program and waste management system. Since opening, the Cafe works along side Hearts to Harmony Foundation. This means 20 percent of profits from the Cafe as well as donations go towards Hearts to Harmony to supports individuals through education, health and hygiene, and supports rural families. Sister Srey is a social enterprise. A cafe with a heart, a cafe with the desire to see change and with the ability to do so.

It's nice to share a word with the owners who are doing their best to help the kids in Cambodia! Sunday Roast is a speciality but make sure you get their early!

This little cafe is right on the river by the Old market. Barristas from Aust make THE best coffee in town...and have decaf...and assorted drinks and fresh juices. Great service and excellent western food. I particularly like the breakfast all day...fab eggs done any way and bacon, tomatoes etc. Upstairs is a nice lounge and the cafe has free WIFI and good bicycles to rent. The cafe sponsors a wonderful charity and is community minded. The food is fresh, food is fashioned food and well presented. Love the atmosphere and is a good place to hang out and meet other travellers (NOT tourists!) and expats. A real gem!

The coffee is great and the atmosphere is just fantastic. You can rent a bike for $2 a day. And go sit upstairs - such a great place to chill out and relax.

Nice little aussie café in the old market part of Siem Reap. Menu is all western food and fairly well done. Had a lentil burger and a vegetarian BLT. Not outstanding but nice enough. Served on wooden cutting boards and fresh juice served in re-used jam jars. Quirky but cute. Service nice, good music and they support a volunteers organisation and provide employment to local kids. Good stuff. It was a sunday and they even had a sunday roast !!

Utter perfection. Glorious view. Charming staff, particularly the Australian lady who oversees things. they serve a chewy treacly biscuit with each of the coffees (cute). the coffee is like the very best, velvety sort of rocket fuel. i stayed there for hours some days, had a bit of food which was good and soaked up the amazing atmosphere of this place which helped me get a lot of work done and left me feeling happy. it's a total oasis in the middle of a city that can get you down after a while.
