Visiting Angkor Wat is an extraordinairy experience. These Khmer buildings date from the 12th century and show the essence of Buddhist religion over centuries. Espacially the carved stone stories give A good impression of daily live.

I've nothing negative to say about the location itself. The Angkor Complex is gorgeous and I actually enjoyed the time of mine there. However be careful of the scammers over the ticketing booth. Some arbitrary neighborhood will address you and can provide you an' expedite' service wherein you'll don't need to drop in line. I'm just speaking in behalf of the self of mine and based on the experience of mine. After you gave the money they are going to run and also the very last thing you'll understand is you're on the ticket booth waiting around for nothing. Reporting the event won't additionally do you any good. The security is going to check the cctv footage though they won't offer any refund. In the end you've to fall inline and spend once again.

The place has a wow factor. But the oil company who own the lot is rapeing it in in and putting next to nothing back in. The Chinese tour groups abound.

What an am place to visit definitely one to do when in Siem Reap, there are steps to climb but once your at the top the views are stunning , take plenty of water and the market stalls outside offer lots of choice on souvenirs, a superb day out

The 4am start was very much worth it. Such a beautiful, historic place to visit.

Such a shame how it’s been treated over the thousands of years, but the restoration work going on is only going to make it a better attraction over time.

A must see.
