I was searching for some homemade cheese in Siem Reap & voila L’oasi Italiana surfaced! A few phone calls and google map assistance we arrived by bicycle north along the river to a haven of wonderful food and on-premises cheese laboratory!

Mr. Titi is a Cambodian with a passion for cheese making & /co-owner with Roberto of L’oasis Italiana. Several varieties are made such as ricotta, cream cheese, blue & burrata that melts in your mouth! Natural & fruit yogurts also available!

I was so impressed that I bought a bit of each type! They also sell prosciutto & other meats!

We enjoyed lunch in the garden, seafood pappardelle & pizza!

Can’t wait to return for some authentic Italian home cooking & load up on more flavourful exclusive gastronomic delights!

Cheers to you Mr. Titi & Roberto, OOPS.. the secret is out!
Kudos, & a feather in your caps!

We decided to try something different from the normal places we went to around Pub Street. This is out of town somewhat and when we got there it was dark so didn't fancy sitting outside surrounded by green vegetation. Good thing we didn't as it was a sure way of getting bitten by insects.
Menu was okay and we paid $6 for a good size pizza and a plate of pasta but was disappointed overall.

Nice, little Italian location about a mile out of the city. A dining escape if you're interested in avoiding the hustle, bustle and solicitations of Pub Street for the evening. Serving good pizza and Italian specialties.

Tables are located outside with lots of green vegetation making it feel quaint and romantic. Be warned, wear lots of insect repellant... although it's beautiful, the rich, tropical vegetation is a breeding ground for giant mosquitos.

To me, the real gem in the small dairy adjacent to the restaurant that's open in the morning and around lunch time, but closed at dinner. The dairy sells freshly made cheeses like burrata, mozzarella, and ricotta as well as other cheeses, fantastic yogurt and smoked meats like duck breast and chicken. The dairy's ingredients are featured at the restaurant. In fact they may be under the same ownership, I'm not 100% certain.

After reading the great reviews for this place, we were disappointed with the food. It was average, however paying $6 for a good sized pizza and pasta dish, it's a cheap option. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is fine, just watch out for mosquitoes.

We were sucked in by the good reviews and went because it was close to our accommodation. Why eat Italian in Cambodia? Generic Italian restaurants are to be found in any city in the world.

The restaurant is situated along a dark and dirty lane alongside the river. It is a house converted with a garden in front and looked OK. We went for luncheon and sat in the garden; there were a few mosquitoes, but they were lethargic and easy to kill.

I cannot believe all the glowing 5* reviews. The appetiser of freshly-baked grissini was tasty and we were sure that this was a sign of the good things to come. Alas, it was not to be.

The pasta dishes were uninspired with too little sauce and the pasta undercooked. The chicken escalope was dry with a few poorly fried frozen French fries from the supermarket on the side and a slice or two of tomato. The pizza was ok.

Their lunchtime opening ends at two o’clock and we were promptly ejected at 2:10 p.m. The prices are typical of Siem Reap, i.e. overpriced tourist restaurant serving mediocre fare.

On this note - we had a hard time finding decent restaurants in Cambodia serving local cuisine where Cambodians ate. All the tuk tuk/taxi drivers will take you to ripoff tourist restaurants serving poor-mediocre food where they obviously receive a kick-back.
