Chandni Chowk can be aptly called the pulse of Delhi. It gives you a complete picture of all the cultures. It is the oldest and busiest bazar of Delhi. At the start of the Chandni Chowk is the famous Red fort on the opposite side of the crossing. On the start of the Chandni Chowk is the Jain LAL Mandir.A little distance away is the Gauri Shankar temple and nearby is the Gurudwara Sis ganj sahib near fuhara Chowk.Within the close vicinity is the Jama Madjid. So it has a great cultural blend. There are many lanes or daribas in Chandni Chowk where you can get many different items. With the underground Metro station over here it hardly takes one to reach Connaught place in 15 minutes.Commuting has become easy because of the metro. There was a time of phat phat sewa and red line buses but they have been overpowered by the metro.Nai sarak is the place to have street food buy books and sarees. The nimbu soda shop is a must visit shop.
The old Delhi railway station is nearby. The town hall is also a landmark. If you go ahead you reach the khari baoli which is the wholesale market for spices.lajpat Rai market is the electronics market.I can go on and on about this absorbing market .A must visit place.

Had a working lunch here. Ordered a simple veg fried rice to save on time! So nicely served it was with two side dishes, that I consumed immediately. The quantity too was right fit, with no wastage!

I liked this joint and if you are this side of Internet city near JLT and wanted to try an Indian cuisine, then Chandini chowk could be a right fit - good on taste and good on your budget.

We crossed this restaurant several times during our visits to JLT but saw it empty which did not motivate us to dine here. With reluctance we stepped in around 9:00 pm & it was empty again. But more families followed around 9:45 pm. We took Rotis & Veg Makhni only. This is the first time we tasted Veg Makhni & it was awesome - all vegetables were garden fresh and it was evident that paneer was prepared fresh in-house.

They take a lot of time to prepare the food & we had to constantly remind them. The kitchen staff & waiters kept arguing loudly which was another negative. Billed amount wasn't correct as extra Rotis were added - 2 different waiters served us & this must have caused confusion.

I recommend this restaurant for the food but definitely not for the service.
