The service was great, from beginning to the end.
The stuff was always friendly, helpful and competent, there is a golf car route from the bay to the reception that carries the luggage. I've asked a charwoman for a thread and a needle and on the reception i received a nice sewing set.
We had HB and the cooking was an A+, everything was tasty and there was always a plenty of meals to choose from.
Suppers were of a different meals every day, however the choice on breakfasts was stable.
For supper there are no drinks included, so be ready to buy tea or wine at the bar.

In hotel there are several facilities aviable. They are: tennis court (with equipment for rent), snorkel and kayaks for rent. Kayaks are worth trying, and the Blue cave is a mustsee!!!

The room was clean, fresh and totally excellent: nice and clean bathroom with a shower cubicle, large double bed with a Media-center (PC) in front, small balcony and a stunning view of the seaside - we've luckily got a seaview number!

The location of the hotel is perfect for a leisurely romantic vacation, there is a plenty of walking tracks with many observation points that allow one to enjoy the undescribable beauty of the croatian nature in full.
There also are several ancient catholic churches on the island.
Compared to the other two Elaphite Islands (Lopud and Shipan) the Kolocep Island is the smallest, but the most developed one.
The island is 30 minutes away from the port Gruz of Dubrovnik by a regular ferry that comes 4 times a day.
This ferry can also bring you to the other two islands (Lopud and Shipan) that are worth seeing.

All in all it's a superb hotel for a comparatively low price.

Here I'm putting some advices one might find helpful when staying at this hotel:

- make a visit to the Old Town of Dubrovnik (by ferry to the port and then 10 minutes by a regular bus) - it's a mustsee
- buying some water in a shop during the daytime can save you few bucks
- when going on kayaks - ask how to find the blue cave
- visit the Sun beach on the nearest Lopud island - the beach is awesome and also there are great burgers at the bar for a fair price
- souvenirs such as honey, spices, olive oil, paprenjaks, wine and local strong alcohol drinks are cheaper at the duty free, ceramics and tecstile are cheaper at the airport souvenir shops, but the magnets are cheaper on the Kolocep
- there is a nice nude beach not far from the hotel, just next to Villa Ruza, so if you're ready to get nude - get also a snorkel there
- when tired of fried eggs for breakfast - make yourself a supersanwich
