Lots of art treasures and one of the oldest working pharmacies in the world. Enjoyed hearing about the fighting during the conflict in the 1990's.

Feeling overwhelmed by the crowds and heat? Stop in here for a few minutes of calm and a stunning church.
We mistimed our visit to coincide with the arrival of a number of large groups. This made it difficult to see things but, more annoyingly, the guides spoke really loudly.
The small garden was nice but otherwise our visit ended up being a waste of time.
I have visited the Franciscan Monastery as its entrance fee was covered by my 1 day Dubrovnik card. It was very interesting to see all the paintings on the stone made walls, the exhibits from the oldest pharmacy store in Europe, but most of all the small garden surrounded with spiraling pillars and trees.
Some nice architecture including spiralling pillars. My favourite of the Old Town churches. Just inside the Pile Gate, opposite the fountain.
This building has a museum about pharmacy which was very interesting with a range of displays. The building itself, and particularly the courtyard, was very beautiful. I recommend that you stop and have a look.
