Great, clean room overlooking the sea. My brother stayed in a room overlooking the pool and sea and it was equally as good a view although the room was a little bit smaller.
Nice evening entertainments with different music, singers etc...
A very modern hotel and it looks a bit like a concrete block from the pool area but the views and rooms make up for that.
The breakfasts were amazing.
We found out about the pathway along the cliff walk/sea front a few days in. Don't miss The cave Bar. Theres a few nice, quirky restaurants, sea front, to choose from before you hit the town.
If you head towards the back of the hotel and bear right, you'll find a fantastic restaurant (near the children nursery) that's very romantic with an open fire (winter) and alfresco seating.
Carry on a bit further and you'll be in the sister hotel (The President). The beach bar food is excellent and the evening staff for dinner bought my mother-in-law a cake out as it was her 70th birthday with a huge firecracker on it. It was amazing and they honestly couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.
Be warned that you have to pay for sunbeams on the pebbly beach if you stay for more than 30 minutes.
The outdoor pool is COLD but if you go for it on a sunny day you won't regret it. Just swim and you'll soon warm up.
The indoor pool is not so 'shocking' as its slightly heated.
The massages were fantastic as was the relaxation rooms with water beds! We only found that out on our last day!
Great sauna and steam room too plus nuts and as many herbal teas as you can drink.
Overall, a great hotel if you don't want to be right in town but still have the benefits of a really pretty stroll towards town.
Don't forget to visit the panoramic restaurant via cable car. You don't need to pre-book your ticket as some seemed to think. But be prepared for a closure if the weather turns.
A visit to the town is a must although you don't need to pay to walk around the wall. We ventured up copious amounts of steps and found a basketball court up in the mountain village!
