We loved apartment number 5, everything was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful in organising transfers etc. They even helped carrying my bag up the stairs to the apartment and to the meeting point for our car to the airport, even staying with us until he arrived, making sure that all was well for our onward journey.
We had an issue with the tv, not being able to connect to the channels and that took two days to sort out, but it didn’t really matter as it turned out there were no English channels available to us anyway, which was a great disappointment as we like to keep up with world news while away. The WiFi was a little slow but not seriously so. There were a couple of globes not working but that was replaced right away.
I would like to suggest that there be a cloth for washing dishes and wiping surfaces in the kitchen as it would be helpful in keeping the kitchen area clean.
We liked that there is a separate toilet with hand basin. The aircon worked wonderfully and was most welcome in the heat.
The location was fantastic, quiet but only a two minute walk to the Pile Gate. Lovely restaurant Orhan on a little bay 30 seconds walk away was open until quite late and was great for evening drinks overlooking the water, with the walls of the city to the left and Fort Lovrijenac to the right. Beach Suluci on the next little bay only two minutes walk away was fantastic for cooling dips and even snorkelling. Above this bay is Bar Dodo which was great for drinks with a view. Restaurant Ala Mizerija also here gets good reviews although we didn’t visit.
If we are in Dubrovnik again we will definitely stay at Miro.
