I enjoyed this small, intimate hotel with rooms situated around the central, interior garden. I had a very good "topico" breakfast. The staff were very helpful, and the security was good. The hotel was formerly the home of a well-to-do family and it is well kept up.

We have stayed many times at this beautiful hotel and have never been disappointed. Marco the manager is extremely attentive, personable, and always willing to assist with all of our needs. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. There’s a breathtaking courtyard as well as a lovely rooftop sitting area with gorgeous views of the town. A special shout out to Oscar for the daily Spanish lessons, friendly conversation and delicious breakfasts. Can’t wait to return.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a decorative courtyard & a unique staircase leading up to the top of the hotel providing you with an amazing panoramic view of the jaw dropping landscape surrounding Antigua. From the movement we arrived, Marco at the the front desk was super helpful with our questions about bars & restaurants, tours, & about our room. Check-In was easy & super quick. Our room was nicely decorated & comfortable. The breakfast included was superb. The rest of the staff were amazing, particularly one individual whom I'd like to thank so much for his wonderful hospitality. Thank you Oscar, for being friendly and generous to us. You made our stay that much enjoyable & we appreciate all that you did for us. We can't wait to return to Hotel La Catederal. And the next time you are in Antigua, Guatemala, consider staying at this marvelous boutique hotel too.
