We had a really good time eating at Zinfandel's on our first meal in Zagreb. The atmosphere is very romantic, chic, and cozy. We were actually staying at the hotel, so an easy walk down from our room.
The staff there was so professional, friendly, and extremely attentive. The food was really good for the most part, and the presentation was excellent, but the portions were really small.
My wife and I shared the scallops appetizer, and one scallop on each plate for $32 is a bit outrageous, even if it was the best scallops of all time. The one scallop I had was good, but not worth what we paid for. My wife then had the duck confit, which was probably the best bite I've tried there, as it was tasty and delicious. My Seabass was really good, but again, on the smaller side for a main course portion.
We were then treated to a sample of their dessert plate, with some good and tasty sweet bites. Our server even brought a small cake for our 10th year wedding anniversary, which was a very nice gesture. The only negative aspect has to be the price to portion ratio, as we paid $125 for one small appetizer, and two main courses. The problem here is that they also charge you a "cover charge", and $20 for 3 bottles of water.
Overall, this was a really good meal, as the atmosphere was very romantic, and the service was outstanding! Our servers Tomislav and Drago took great care of us the entire meal. I just wished they didn't overpriced their dishes, and not charge silly extra supplements...
