My husband and I stayed at Hideaway resort Fiji for 10 days from the 8-18th of November. We had a lovely waterfront bure however it was a long walk from the resort facilities. It was peaceful though with a beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted by someone beating the drum and given a welcome drink. The drum is also used to farewell guests. Everyone one is very welcoming everyday. They all have beautiful smiles and friendly faces. After looking at the menus on our first night we were disappointed with the selection of food and the price. It was mostly food we would normally eat and quite expensive. We had breakfast included so we tried to have breakfast late and fill up on it to last till dinner. We tried to choose mostly entree meals however a few times we were given mains instead without knowing. There was a Lovo Fiji buffet feast on one night of the week. This was very good. After tasting the Fijian dishes I could see why they don't have a lot of Fiji dishes on the menu. Some are a required taste. There is a fish in lime juice on the menu every day which is very nice.
