This is a perfect quit hotel. One of the best parts about this hotel is you can use it's sister property the COAST. For a small fee you can upgade your breakfast to the buffet breakfast at the COAST. Totally worth it!!! The restaurant at the COAST has great food.  Also they have beach front chairs and beautiful pools you can use for free. This is all just a couple of minutes  walk to get to the property.
I am a little bit of a clean freak and did wish they did a little bit better cleaning of the rooms. The water pressure kind of sucked for the shower but the service outweighed all these things. Everyone went above and beyond to make our vacation amazing. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to others!!
Me and boyfriend talked and we both agreed that it was actually better that this property was not on the beach. At night all the restaurants play loud music into the late night and I am sure you can hear it at the beach front  hotels. But because you can use it's sister property you get to enjoy both worlds and also at a great value.
Also I can't forget to mention the pick up/drop off service to the airport. This is included in your stay. It is organized so well. You feel like your royalty. You will understand when you experience it.

I think booking Blue Marina for my Boracay trip is the best decision ever. Firstly, Blue marina provide free transport from the Jetty to Boracay. The public queue was super long and we are glad that we have our own private speedboat to Boracay. However, if you are travelling from Kalibo like me, do email Blue Marina to arrange a bus from Kalibo airport to the Jetty directly at php 300 per person.

Their customer service is exceptional, they greeted us warmly and went all out to help us. The rooms (probably only 8 rooms) are well furnished and clean. They have all the basic necessities like shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, towel, hair dryer, safe etc . The location is good too. Not too far from the beach front. There is a 7-11 and a police station nearby.

We can also access the pool and the beachfront at their affiliated hotel, Coast. Coast is amazing. Nothing to complain about this hotel.

One of the best place to be is here. Blue Marina is the first boutique hotel, before they built the main hotel Coast. We were fortunate to be able to stay at both Blue Marina and Coast during our five days stay in Boracay.

Blue Marina is slightly away from the main road, which means you need to walk further in to reach the hotel. Safety is not compromised, because the hotel has a security man watching out for us. It is also next to the police centre (yey!). So despite the lack of street lights at night, we were not worried.

Being a sister hotel means we can use the facilities at COAST. From Blue Marina, it is about 5 to 8 minutes walk to COAST and about 15 minutes walk to D'mall. Room is spacious, one single bed and one queen sized bed. Basic amenities are provided, including kettle. Hot water in the shower is adjustable and easy to work around with. There is rain shower as well, though water pressure is not strong. we arrived right after the typhoon, so there were some water shortage going on. but the staff solved the issue and we had our room back. Sewage was horrible and we could smell the sewage in the toilet from the bed. Can't blame them, cause the typhoon destroyed many things. Just closed the toilet door and that pretty much solved everything.

Room was tastefully designed. Clean and spacious. Didn't have much issue with Wifi either. Service was excellent, nothing to fault at all. They were attentive, and easy to talk to. We arrived at Kalibo airport, and we were received by the staff at the Caticlan jetty (we took the southwest bus which were arranged by the hotel to Caticlan). From there, it's all VIP service. Received at the lounge, took the private speedboat and another short ride before we reached the hotel.

Blue Marina has a very cosy and homely feel to it. Special thanks to Marz and Jerica, and of course the security man who made our stay a really wonderful one. This is a one-floor boutique hotel, so do expect some ants or mosquitoes. After-all, this is a tropical island.

Highly recommended to all my friends and family!

Room Tip: Rooms at the end are quieter

We were unfortunate to visit Boracay when Typhoon Kai Tak hit the country. The road leading to the hotel was flooded to a height of 3 feet and water was threatening to get into our room. On the day of our departure, the staffs had to balance our suitcases on their heads to avoid the flood water, helped us fight the crowd at the ferry terminal and found a car to drive us to Kalibo airport. We would not be in time to catch our flight home if not for the assistance from the folks at Blue Marina. So although the hotel is lacking in facilities and the bathroom needs improvement - more consistent hot water supply, better water pressure and a shower curtain - this hotel deserves a full rating from us because of the folks working there.

Had this trip planned three month ago, before any knowledge of the typhoon. Started off awesome! Staff is super, rooms are adequate, free daily breakfast, airport transfer, everything was awesome!

But, the weather had everything grounded on the island (even before the rain came). No water activities allowed and zero bangkas operating for two days before the rain. Basically spent our days walking the island exploring. Which turned out ok anyway.

Now, let me get to the storm. The rains began and did not stop for two days straight. Was slow and steady to hard and windy. Water built up in every road, side road, houses, even flooded D’Mall. The hotel did everything they could, except pump water out from the entrance. Coast had priority for the pump. Was kind of disappointed in that, but we soldiered on.

The last morning the guard carried my date to the van for pick up. The hotel offered me a pair of slippers and towels, so I could clean up before getting to the airport. They even gave me bottles of water to clean up because the island was out of water. Some parts I hear still are out of water.

To sum this up the staff at Blue Marina is AWESOME! Even in a typhoon they were happy, and always there to help. I would def recommend it to anyone looking for a nice option with free airport transfer both ways. And you can avail anything from Coast as well; pools, beach front, resto, etc.

Will post some pics of the typhoon so no one makes a mistake like me and goes during bad weather :)
