Booked on Booking.com for 3 nights. Got to the hotel at 7.30pm after along day at meetings. The JSL team made a complete mess of my check in. As per what was explained by the front desk staff some of the rooms were “under maintenance” and due to that was requested that I be moved to Royal Kunninghan for the first night. However, found out that the property was over booked. It was also hinted that I had made a ‘pay at the property’ booking through booking.com and that they felt I will not turn up.
Then I was asked to take a taxi (paid by JS Luwansa) to Royal Kunninghan (RK). When I got to RK the instructions that they had received was that the guest from JSL will come over with one of their staff member. Due to this confusion I had to wait for another 45mins to get my room. This was the first time I stayed at this hotel and this really left a bad taste.
I was expecting that to this they would have potentially offered me an upgrade or something to keep me happy but unfortunately non of that was extended by the team. The location is very convenient for me as most of my meetings are a 10 mins walk away and I was hoping to make this my preferred place. Now will need to rethink this.More
