We spent four nights here. The hotel is lovely, the rooms clean and new and decor is very pleasant and up to date. I absolutely love the simple Tibetan aesthetic. The complimentary breakfast is the best out of all the places we stayed at in Tibet, and although the tea is a bit watery it's the closest I got to having English breakfast tea during our 2 week trip.
As for the location, it's a short walk to the city centre which is good as the nights are quiet and peaceful. However, for those trying to acclimatise to the altitude, that short walk to the city centre can become an inconvenient hour-long trek. There's an emergency centre nearby should you ever need one though, and there are plenty of local eateries and shops just around the hotel. It's less touristy and you get to see the local life a little.
