We checked in here after we found the House of Shambhala simply too cold. It was a fraction of the price and much more comfortable. It was also located just off Barkhor Square so an ideal location. The beds were comfy, there was lots of hot water and the wifi was consistently fast. The only downside was breakfast which was a disorganised affair. Whatever time you went there was hardly anything left and what there was was cold as the hot plates didn't work. You ended up eating items one at a time as the chef cooked then. Thankfully the hotel wasn't too busy or there could easily have been a punch-up to grab that freshly cooked egg.

Dear guest,
Thanks for leaving your review and sharing your experience staying with our hotel. Yeah, since last year, we improved our decoration and room facility and our rooms are better. Hot water service is better, this is important when staying in Tibet especially in winter time (in Summer time as well). However, yes, you are right, our restaurant needs to be improved, from April to early October, we are very busy with many foreign guests staying here and we will enrich our breakfasts services, also clients can try to cook in our public restaurants, in ancient downtown Lhasa, it is not easy to do so. Thank you again, Tony from Tibet Ctrip Travel Service (aka ExploreChinaTibet Dot Com)

17.10.2017. It's just a good hotel, with good care, its location is in the old part, with a good-neighbourliness. You have a Baker selling delicious muffins side. She, The Director is fantastic and can advise you, where to eat good and cheap. The bed is very good and the shower was great. The breakfast on the terrace above, is simple but delicious vegetables with fennel, omelette or eggs, some of bacon, toast with butter, brown sugar, tea or coffee and fruit. From the terrace there is a beautiful view of the city and the GoldenTemple of Jokhang . Underwear in racks can be laid also on the roof. And to finish the cooks who prepare the breakfast are very nice. It was an excellent choice for 4 days in Lhasa.

Room Tip: Second floor room with view at street was our stay for 4 days

The hotel is really beautiful and the staff is nice specially Penny who speaks a very good English. But they don't have hot water in the morning just kind of warm, if you want a hot shower you have to take it at night. The breakfast is awful to be honest. The location is great but is not accesible for cars so if you have heavy luggage you have to walk with it. It's surrounded by little shops at old Lhasa and has a great view of the Potala Palace. Also there are no phones in the rooms.

Dear guest,
Thank you for sharing your stay in our hotel, and leaving us your recommendation. In the upcoming year, we will keep improving our service and foreign travelers can book the rooms directly with us rather than though any other third platform. We will combine bonus service on Tibet travel permits, wish more and more foreign travelers would love to choose to stay in the downtown center of Lhasa. For more info, you can find on Tibet Ctrip Travel Service (aka Explore China Tibet Travel Service)

Good location for this hotel, just by Barkhor street.
The rooms are clean and the bathroom and shower are very good.
The breakfast is ok and the view from the rooftop is great, as you can see the potala palace.
Recommended!
