A must try are Joe’s Soft Shell Crab Rolls and deliciously fresh Spicy Toro Tartar.

The atmosfere is very pleasant and the food is excellent, especially the " nego toro temaki " prepared by Ajun is outstanding. We come over 10 years to Tokio Joe and we feel very " at home"

“Expensive, touristy”
Reviewed 16 May 2015 via mobile

Come here if you want to overpay for not so good food and service. Nothing really that special. The sushi rolls are wannabe creations that all pretty much taste the same. Portions are not large. Beware of the drinks offerings in the beginning as they usually offer the most expensive ones! Some of the sushi we're quite salty.
Don't sit near the window as the air con is really weak and you can feel the warm air come in - not pleasant on a warm and muggy evening. Overall not cheap. Try other Japanese places in the Lan Kwai Fong area such as Sushi Kuu.

“Sushi from heaven”
Reviewed 8 May 2015 via mobile

Might as well call it butter. One of the best sushi I ever had. I remember a great sushi place in the old Hing Kong airport, the airport where you flew into the city and were scared to crash into the building and the mountains.... I am talking about before they built the new one in Lantau.
Anyway the service was great and the food delicious. Atmosphere was great what else do you need? Ah ... Price. Well it comes with the territory... Expensive
I think I paid over 400 U.S. dollars for 3. But my son and I ate like piggies it was too delicious.

“Fun Evening With Friends at Tokio Joe”
Reviewed 12 April 2015

On our first night in Hong Kong on our honeymoon, we joined some college friends, living in HK,at this lively restaurant in Lan Kwai Fong for a fun evening. We had all sorts of well prepared sushi, and we received attentive service throughout the long, and ultimately boisterous evening.

“Nice vegetarian Japanese options !”
Reviewed 11 April 2015 via mobile

This was a nice Resturant for vegetarians, the staff was good enough to discuss options.
I don't remember the dishes, but we had a good dinner. Make sure you reserve a table in advance.
And try a sparkling sake !
