Stylish decor and good ambiance in a basement in central Hong Kong. Highlight was the superb Peking Duck (but you must order 48 hours in advance) rest of menu looked equally good we had a great evening.

Excellent ambience, relaxing mood, paired with great food and good company..what could be a more perfect combo?! Best food we have eaten to date in HK - we are foodies, and especially search out good food in each country we travel to. Found this place thanks to the reviewers' comments and was so happy it met our high expectations.

The Scallop w spinach dumpling was excellent, so were the Quail Eggs Siu Mai, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, Crispy Prawn Cheong Fun. Taro Croquette - out of this world! Best one we ever had the pleasure to taste! The crab stir fry vermicelli is a must try!!

But signature dishes like Peking duck and very tender Iberico Char Siew were actually ordinary compared to the ones we have had in Singapore. The duck/pork could be better marinated (ie, deeper taste) overnight. So there could be room for improvement.

The wait staff were prompt and attentive, very polite and high quality in service. Well versed in English and considerate (they saw we had a couple elders in the group and advised us to take the back cargo lift).

Overall, big thumbs up and we will be back when in HK next!

The Food: All the dishes we had - the iberico pork (a variation of the usual Chinese cha Siu), truffle quail egg siumai, two other dim sum dishes, Kale vegetable, and the Peking duck (80 minute wait, but sooooo worth it) were just delicious, with no exception. The food was cooked in authentic Cantonese style, but with a classy western twist (ie, the truffle ). Just one of the best Chinese food I have tasted.

Service: friendly and efficient. The place caters to many foreigners, so the staff speaks very good English.

Ambiance: five stars, not your typical noisy Chinese place, instagrammable . It was a bit of a hassle walking down the three flights of stairs to the basement where the restaurant was located, but there the manager allowed us to use a service elevator at the back when we got out, which was kind of nice.

I had dinner here last Saturday night as one of a party of seven. The food and wine were excellent. It's a slightly westernised take on Cantonese cuisine, so there's something for everyone. Go for the pig and the goose.Wine list great too.

Do it.

Finest chinese food done in their special way, with unique tastes and textures. Nice ambience. Must try! Esp. The triple cooked beef short rib.
