Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs to get to this monastery but once you get there the views are incredible and the structures beautiful. If you go down the back way you can get some local honey from the Wing Wo bee farm and also see a tiny, quiet monastery where you can get blessed.

I tool a train ride from Tsim Sa Chui & then took a tour to the monastery. The Tour was very good & the Monastery is beautiful. The whole aura of this place is magnificent.

The walk to the top can be a struggle for some people but there is a choice of stairs or slope. Up to the top there is a variety of statues all unique and standing in different poses. At the top the temple is stunning, vibrant in colour and creativeness.

After the crowds at Victoria Peak and the Big Buddha, this was a lovely excursion, easily accessed by MTR. You climb up a path lined by buddhas side by side to reach a beautiful area with temple, more buddhas, vegetarian cafe and fantastic views over Sha Tin. You need a reasonable level of fitness and mobility. Very peaceful.

This is a temple located up the very steep hill.

What i like about it:

- There is a view of the city but the view is not as good as the one you see from the Peak

-Lots of photo opportunities

-The quietness of it ; this is not a busy temple you could take your time strolling about the place

-Entry is free

NOTE:

-Prepare your own toilet paper as there is none there.

-No outside food allowed even if you are vegetarian

- You could do it with a stroller but it would be very steep climb

-Definitely recommend you wearing trainer for this activity

-There is a vegetarian restaurant on site

-Wild life on site; the monkey, turtles etc

- There are benches along the stairs going up and down so you could take a rest while you do the climb.
