We had a momentous Birthday celebration staycation at The Fleming! The staffs are extremely friendly and super helpful, especially the Guest Experience Team for their remarkable 5-star service, not to mention that they have sent a hand-written Birthday card to my partner which has sparkled her up with great smile on her face. Apart from extraordinary service, the hotel is decorated with a mixture of Classic Hong Kong and Star Ferry theme, which let people to felt truly being in Hong Kong instead of just staying in a hotel. Randomly take snaps in the room can form a great and stylish picture. The whole experience is phenomenal and I’ll definitely recommend your hotel to my friends. Hope to visit again soon!

Nice stay and everything in house are perfect

Improvement can be breakfast and check in process, but given considering the price ( becoz this hotel is not brand like Hilton, Marriott, IHG etc ) , I am happy with the stay.

Front Desk staff (1/F Reception)
Front desk staff (Tom) is nice and professional. He provided us with a seamless check in process, from greeting us to giving us the key, it only took us five minutes in total. And I appreciated the process is short yet precise like he skipped some unnecessary steps, especially when he took a copy of our id card then he could insert the relevant information afterward and avoided keeping the guests waiting on the spot. He not only introduced essential information (i.e. the breakfast inclusion, wifi password) unambiguously but also handled our questions patiently and politely while giving human touch to us at the same time by addressing us with our last name and maintaining a certain level of eye contact.

But one point I have to say is that I noticed there are no name tags with the front desk staff which made it hard for me to give compliments and recognition.

Reception staff (G/F)
Other staff like the staff on the G/F are proactive as well. They will always come up to ask if you are checking in or going to have breakfast and guide you through patiently.

Operator and Housekeeping staff
One point that I am so impressed with is that the operator picked up our call quickly and addressed our needs patiently. They first addressed us with our last name and explained the solution to us step by step (we are confused about the connection of the Airplay). Besides, we are so surprised that our needs are being satisfied in such a quick manner. We called to have two extra bottles of water at night and the housekeeping staff sent us the water in just 2 minutes which is really efficient!

Guest Experience
We are so happy that they are flexible when it comes to some amendments. Since I am not into alcohol so I had my partner ask in advance if the package inclusion (sparkling wine I guess) can change to dessert instead. I am so happy that they offered us chocolate cookies while keeping the wine for us plus the heart-warming handwritten welcome card. We can feel that the GE team had genuinely done their very best to fulfil the guests’ needs so as to meet their expectations.

Overall experience
We are happy and satisfied with the attentiveness of the staff. They are proactive, polite and professional which made our stay memorable and perfect enough that we would definitely come back in the future! Once again, thank you so much for all the arrangements!

The Fleming is literally elevated the standard of Hong Kong’s boutique hotel.
We stayed in The Fleming twice within a month, which is quite crazy.
The reason drove us to revisit so soon is their excellent SERVICE.

Frankly, I didn’t expect such good service in a boutique hotel. All staff there are friendly and cheerful, especially Mr. Matthew Yuen. the Assistant Manager of Guest Service. My first stay was for celebrating anniversary, Matthew prepared a gift and hand-written letter, though we never meet him on that stay. And on the second stay, Matthew even backed to work earlier just to greet us. He gave his biggest help on everything to ensure our stay is joyful. The service he provided is unlike the standard service from branded hotel, but truly from his heart. It’s so nice to have a short chit chat with him.

Room: Both stays are under their weekday staycation package. The room upgrade included is subject to the on-day availability. But I was so lucky to stay in Large Room and Extra Large room separately. The room is spacious and stylish. I love the natural daylight from the windows, especially the Extra Large Room. The mattress and pillows are unexpectedly comfortable, which is even better than some international chain hotels.

Food: With the $200 coupon included in the package. We had the breakfast down the Osteria Marzia. The atmosphere there is chill and the Italian style breakfast is also good, the Granola Yogurt is highlighted. (Please note that it’s under Black sheep, not really related to the Fleming)

All in all, this is our first time to stay at a boutique hotel in Hong Kong, yet this experience elevated the standard of boutique hotel in our mind and I think, the Fleming will be the standard that we used to comment other boutique hotels in the future lol.

Room tip: Book with their official weekday package, the best deal.

I enjoyed my stay in July 2022 at The Fleming hotel in Hong Kang because of its very convenient location (only a few minutes walking from Wan Chai MTR station), helpful and professional staff, stylish, clean and quite room. I highly recommend it.
