Excellent, comfy and safe hostel in a great location, right across from Tsim She Tsui MTR station, lots of shops and restaurants, and within walking distance to the Star Ferry, Kowloon Park, Night Market, etc. The beds in the 6 female dorm were comfy, the two toilets and showers next to the dorm were kept clean and stocked with soap and shampoo everyday. There are also many fun tours, like the free walking tours, also a pub tour and eating tour which costs money. There's a small lounge area where it was easy to meet other travelers. What makes this hostel shine in addition to its impressive offerings is its staff, Albert, the Filipino guy (I think Gabriel is his name) and Eason, who all speak excellent English as well as Cantonese, and were consistently helpful, friendly and efficient. Eason provided me with excellent tips and directions, and I really appreciated his unfailing optimistic attitude, patience, humor and warmth. I can tell it's more than a job for him---he really likes being with people and helping them. He made my stay in HK so memorable---a big thank you, Eason, you're the best!

Room Tip: 6 room female dorm is on the 14th floor with elevator, and right next to the toilets and showers and the lounge area

Extremely fun place to stay. You get a chance to meet a lot of people. Facilities are good for people looking for budget and convenience. And location is probably the best thing. Friendly guests and staff.

Great hostel in the middle of Kowloon. Staff are excellent, hostel is very clean and location is perfect (right outside the metro). Great AC (better than the AC in most 5 star hotels in China). Overall an excellent hostel.

Urban Pack is rated number two on trip advisor, but it is far superior in my opinion. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the location is great, TST is a little touristy yes, but there's lots of good restaurants around both big and small and there are two subway lines that are easily accessible. The Kowloon Park is right across the street, which is great to explore. They have a little aviary in the park, flamingos and other exotic birds. I stayed in the main hostel dorm floor, which I thought was ideal, so I don't know what other people's experiences with staying on different floors (and different buildings? Not sure about about that part) but still I think in my opinion, urban pack is superior to the mahjong, especially for solo travelers.

Really friendly and welcoming hostel with a great location, right beside MRT station which provides convenient and cheap access to all areas of Hong Kong! The staff were very kind and gave great information and directions for all of the sites. Also they gave me a free upgrade to a private room which was much welcomed after a long day of traveling. Everything was clean and the events they hosted were awesome. Would definitely recommend. Don't miss the all you can drink night out on Tuesday!!
