A very steep ride to the peak. Not the cheapest, but worth it. The extra for the viewing platform is unnecessary.

Use your Octopus card, bypass the ticket line and get on board this awesome funicular. At the top spring for additional fee to ascend to the top of the platform and enjoy the spectacular 360 view from Victoria Peak. then use your Octopus again for the ride down or take the trolley...Pretty Good stuff!!

The Peak Tram is one of those things that you have to do for the experience.

I took the tram from Victoria Peak going down. You get some very good views of Hong Kong Harbour.

The queues are always there - but not more than 20 minutes. However, the queues to catch the tram going up can be very long. The angle of incline is quite steep. The trams can get very busy and crowded.

These trams have been going for many years. It was on my list of things to do in Hong Kong - and it was worth it for the experience.

Good if the queues are not too long if they are it might be best to get a taxi. The price board suggests that there is only one ticket available, a combo with Terrace 428 viewing platform, they both can be purchased separately, but if its your first trip may be do both (on a clear day)

Where do I begin - 2 hour queue there - sewage leak right in the middle of hundreds of people- only when I complained did anyone care. When buying the ticket I was told the sky space was not worth bothering with - well it definitely is. During the queues you could see the museum aspects of the tram service but you are herded like sheep. All in all pathetic. The view at the top is amazing though but probably better to get a cab, bus or donkey than the tram - used it 25 years ago and it was great but I guess the Chinese Gvt got greedy. Finally, you can skip the queue like royalty if you also but a Madame toussards ticket, but frankly I think that is ethical as stealing a kidney. My photos show the queues, the sewage and the view.
